  9. Hahah its currently under a $150 car cover, but i will be purchasing another one just in case. It has a gazebo, but a roof is being constructed over it currently ; i also plan to build some form of ramps so that car isn't actually on the ground (so crap can't blow underneath it ) El-cheapo hell-o :D Since the car came home, i have taken the cover off once to show grand parents who were like "oh wow, its like when they were new back in the 80's yada yada yada *insert timeless story in here*" I'm very proud that they think so highly of it !. Since then, there have been too many days were there are too many $hit particles in the air that could make it dirty. At least the white car is drivin again, and the grandpa volvo mobile is.. mobile. Ill get to this; oneday.

  20. No elcheapo fix Cheif. Regardless of the dealership, The locksmith is usually one that does the "cutting" of the key (Sublet through a dealership, or if you take it to them directly); wilst the dealership will do the programing side of it, and physically get it working on the car. Recommendation -> 1) Go into spare parts at Toyota, get them to quote you on the part(s) you require to do the job 2) Go into the service department, book your car in to get a new remote supplied by the dealership & programed by the dealership. Reason i say get a quote first, is so when you get the final bill you will know if the Service department have tried to sell it to you for more than what parts department would of sold it to you for (as a member of the public at retail price) - if that makes sence. 3) Problem solved. You have a paper record of when you purchased the remote & genuine dealership install. if there are any problems, the part(s) will carry a warranty for any faults they have. Make it noted - if you get Toyota to do the hole job, they are responsible for ensuring that the job is carried out correctly. If you go into parts & get the remote, and give it to the service department to program -> and its wrong - chances are your going to be stuck with a $260 remote - (Provided that parts gave you the remote that (in there eyes) was the correct one, because of the vehicle information you provided them with). make sure you don't loose that master key or a working remote, depending on what system you have.. haha it can get prittty expensive pretty quickly if you loose eiter / or.
