  1. ive got a 113 in my 4k (torquey cam) great for keeping up with traffic but yea 105a or 474 is catching my eyes :D Fast road 2750 - 6500 RPM Fast road 3000 - 8000 RPM apprently philbey had a stupid cam in his 5k with std lifters. took 8 months till one exhaust valve to shit it self
  2. ke20 = 3k std. a 5k would have a higher percentage of power more than the 3k so thats why most vic ke30 drivers need engineers edit - i spoke to my local crow cam joint. they said the same thing about more than .400". but also said he could do a custom grind with slightly less lift but same duration, no point having that much lift if the motor can't flow it. cbf soild conversion. i like silent lifters. will need new valve springs with this monster cam I'm thinking of.

  4. did some research today. after 20mins on hold with vic roads ive realised there USELESS! rang a engineer and asked him whats the go with 5k conversion. he said "he musnt be more than 20% powerfull than the standard motor" 4kc - 44kw 5kc - 61kw (according to wiki) so WIN! he also said you must supply vic roads with a good excuse why you couldnt fit a standard motor. so ill just say "its a old car couldnt find any engines for it, so the next best think was a 5k out of a van witch was also a option for a corona's" 5k. super duper cam. (4000rpm-8000rpm or 3 - 7 powerband :D), HYDRAULIC LIFTERS, 11/12:1 comp ratio, weber. = win?
  5. redline manifolds 11mm on one side and 13mm on the other. had to chop a 13mm spanner in half so i could gain access. FFUUUU and seriously 11mm? didnt know that size exist? also GTFO carby issues. just randomly start playing up when you want

  15. except the globe holders are different i had late 55 sedan lights on mine, when i swapped to ke30's i had to use the bulb holder

  18. i reckon the best way to do it would be turning a peice of steel with the pick ups. make a locating pin on it and mounting it in front of the cam gear? ORRR be a super stealthy c**t and make the trigger wheel run off the back of the cam? inside the bellhousing (behind the flywheel) ORRR cnc machine notches in the std crank pulley? food for thought
  19. PLEASE explain some more on your comment? my 55 has around 3 degrees of neg camber. 2 inch lower and falcon springs. LCA are dead flat. it tends to understeer into hard corners but stays on track. i was under the impression that its caused from flat lca's and putting rca will push down the control arm and fix the geometry?
