if you wanna be dodgy, hammer the strut tower for clearance

if its charging at 14.2 volts its ok (under load) anything more and than 14.5 its overcharging anything less that 13.8 its not charging enough. if you have those problems then swap the reg and retest

alternator might not be the fault. its prob the external regulator mounted on the LHS strut tower.

alternator is internal or external reg? if external, check your charging volatge i reckon its up around the 15v mark :wink:

got a little left to port and polish. all the casting inside the intake ports are 90% gone

crank/block/pistons at the machinist getting measured since monday. doing a sick ass job porting the intake ports in the head. will take some pics tomorrow. its 80% finished, just gotta get another flapper wheel and smooth them out a bit then polish ftw!
