Yup, jip - have a look at a few pictures of my grill....its exactly the same. It's just an early version for the round headlights. as for the mounting holes....I have my t50 mouted in the rear holes and it fits perfect.....i orginally thought that was why there were there. Mine is a October built 1979 model and has the bigger drums on the rear and girlock calipers

Yup.....all the K40 - K50's have the same input shaft....

Take the manifold off the one with the welsh plug in the back and i'll bet you'll find that it has bigger ports than the one with the plate on the back. The one with the welsh plug is most likely a 3K bigport head.

How Do I Remove Ke10 Steering Wheel Lol
Xany replied to ke10rolla's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Everyone does it at least once.....you then learn to leave the nut on the end of the thread....lol I did it with a standard ke55 steering wheel when i first got my car.....by god those things are hard. -
Yep...as stated, only thing that will be different is the emissions as the C stands for California emissions standard. Everything else will bolt on :nervous:

Correct, most metal recylers will have a higher rate for business customers (ones that have an ABN)....
-
You could attach twin carbies to your standard 4k head, keeping in mind that if you put more fuel & oxygen in, it's going to have to escape somewhere. So you should upgrade to extractors and a bigger exhaust....have a look through the FAQ if you need more info. However putting a 3K head on a 4K will increase compression (depends on what 4K engine it is though)...

If you can get the car shell there they will pay you per ton for the metal. I only recently got rid of a shell and filled it up with mostly metal crap. I think it came to just over a ton and i got $51 for it....lol
-
I might have to take you up on that offer. :nervous: Shall talk to you tonight.

Not sure....i don't think i've seen a brand on them anywhere. I know they have For race or Rally purpose on the back of the wheel though..... lol

Roadie getting done this week. The fronts i can't actually run as yet cause they hit the inner guard, but with a small amount of fixing, that wont be a problem. I took it for a run with just the rears on this arvo and it definately has a little more grip with the 205's on the back. lol

So, some of you may or may not know i bought the deep dish wheels off Phatke30 which were originally Littleredspirits wheels that were sold last year. Well....i bought them without rubber and it just so happened that my dad wasn't happy with the new tyres on his 1965 HD holden ute, so he said i could buy them off him when he sourced some bigger tyres. The tyres that came off the ute are 205/60/R13 Federal Formoza FD1's http://www.federaltyres.com.au/fd1 Although they are a family car tyre, they look quite mean on the smaller rims :y: So heres some pics....warning - may need a towel handy. :hmm: Yes, the fronts stick out a little too much so i will have to roll and pump the guards a little to make them legal, but the rears will be fine after a bit of massaging.....lol Ps. Don't take any notice of the primer, did a few repairs a few weekends ago with Med mans help and havent had a chance to rub it back and paint some colour on it. Cheers. Xany

Either that or you have a really small head :hmm:

Incorrect. 5K head on a 3K block will have a ridiculously high compression ratio as most 5k engines have the combustion chamber in the pistons (eg: Dished pistons). Not sure what the final compression ratio would be, but it would be fairly high. A 3K head on a 5K block DECREASES the compression ratio as the dished pistons and the extra capacity 3K head will create a bigger combustion chamber which is better for Forced induction......

Dammit, i was waiting for it to run away bashing its head on the ground. :D Edit: When using links from photobucket, use the direct link...not the Url link. Works heaps better :hmm:
