  1. Wheelchair, bonnet, bike, drum, door, hatstand, bbq grill, trueno... wtf!? Felt pretty sad leaving it there. First time I've ever got rid of a car :(
  2. I actually have one of those on the dash of my corolla at all times. There's much more interesting things in the garage, so its quite funny. As is this shop mannequin I spotted today
  3. Oh a snake... You should never go in there without a mongoose!
  4. Damp rust don't burn so well. I reckon it looks hot! Needs onis though.
  5. Repetitive apocalyptic weather in Cairns. Yesterday Today At least it cools things down a bit.
  6. Drive it when its too far to walk. Look after it, but don't spend a cent more on it than necessary. Use money to acquire rear wheel drive version. That's what I did anyway.
  7. Maybe the clutch line is the only earth is has left.
  8. I used to have an ancient PYE tv in my room. It picked up all the channels with nothing more than a paperclip jammed in its antenna socket! The transmitters were 40km away, but there was a direct line of sight. I think it also had a nuclear powered tuner - it hissed like crazy and smelled funny. When I was at uni, we watched the olympics using a pair of scissors as an antenna - once again, just wedged into the back of the tv. In cairns I had to buy the biggest antenna I could get, then run a booster to get any picture at all.
  9. Its now 4 different cars - two truenos and two levins. The engine may eventually make it into a ke70.
  10. Nothing can stop a corolla. Such a versatile machine. So much rain, the arm is a quagmire right now. Dams are overflowing, so I took the kayak out to hit the rapids.
  11. A croc decides to eat my video camera. Its like living at Jurassic Park around here.
  12. Missed break and brake - the most commonly confused one on car forums. As in "Help my breaks are braked?"
  13. A Goa'uld larva I found
  14. Great car. What are the things protruding behind the rear tyres? And LOL at unintentional self portrait!
  15. An ae86 bolt in cage will fit, but you'll need a low seat not to bump your helmet on it.
  16. Hehe, unused cars are great storage sheds. My t18 has much of a sprinter stored inside it at the moment. The pics above are all the tyre tubes we float around on in the dam. Was fun squishing them all in there.
  17. My T-18 has been very neglected for the last 6 months. The brakes were seizing up frequently and I didn't have the motivation to fix it, so it got parked up and abandoned. I put a new battery in today, brushed off the compost and it started up without much fuss. I'm attempting to get the thing ready to do a few khanacross events next year. Will start by getting it up on the ramp tomorrow and giving the underside a bit of rust treatment.
  18. Here's something I've spent the last couple of nights putting together. Footage shot from my hotel room in Tokyo of the construction site across the street. I'd never seen any job site quite like it. So organised. So tidy. So... weird! Right click and watch on youtube for HD version.
  19. Another weekend, another hasty repair job, another track day. Competed in the local bitumen sprint series again on the weekend. Another class win, but my only competition was Derek, who was also driving my car as he seems to have misplaced his. :blinks: Car ran well, considering that I'd hastily replaced the diff and rear axles the day before. The lsd failed during the previous round, so I swapped in the one from the wreck. Its noisy, but tight. Knocked off all the wrx's, but am a second off catching the slowest of the evo's and nearly 5 seconds off catching the bloody GTR. The KU36 tyres are still holding on, but they're very ragged now after only two days at the track :S Might only get a couple more runs out of them. Considering the car is cornering hard enough to lean over like this, its not suprising! Need to chuck a larger swaybar in the front to level it out a bit and keep the back wheel on the ground!of scratches to polish out too after some over-enthusiastic driving by both of us lead to a number of cone fatalities. Some videos from the day at http://www.youtube.com/user/swampgarage and on Derek's channel http://www.youtube.com/user/StainAE86 Oh, and never leave your onboard camera unattended!
