  1. How did you modify your cross member to get the engine to sit nice and low?
  2. The damage makes the car un-roadworthy though. Front left light doesn't pop up I believe. Also, rear light has no coloured lenses. Fix it already shane!
  3. Be Original? How about a corolla! :lock: Real original :( I don't reckon its an originality thing, skylines are good at what they do. There is a large market for goodies and a fair bit of interchangeability. Plus, the skyline I believe luke is contemplating is pretty original so ++ ;)

  6. hahaha, actually was just looking at that now. :lock: They say the steel case celica box (W50?) is a good street box... see, even mazda lads recognise toyotas prowess ;) On that note, how hard are they to fit into a ke70? Because 12a adaptor plates are easy enough to find. :(

  9. How rare are the RX4 4 speeds? Would I pay through the nose for them? Wouldn't break it would I? Currently not looking at porting really, just seeing if this is a doable project. A fresh 6-port 12a came up for sale for $100 with a spare motor with all ancilleries so very, very tempted to put that into my project car instead of rebuilding the 4K/5K. Cept I have all the required bits for a K motor. :lock: Stock for they would easily keep up with a full house K-motor. Add exhaust and carbie and the 12a seems to be the victor. Just worried about the driveline... diff etc. Can see some change from $1500 though with this conversion.
  10. I remember finding a site where the conversion was shown in a bit of detail (12a into ke70) and the dude had to cut the transmission tunnel and re-weld it... is it possible to do the conversion without doing this mutilation? Found a 12a 6port reaaaaaaaal cheap. :lock:

  13. Adam, check out the post I made in that thread on boost. Didn't know you were so keen otherwise may have kept it more secretive :y: . Depends what you want to do but $500 for a rebuilt pinto modified to fit straight in to a mk1 Cortina sounds alright... No idea what that does to the class of the car or whatever in motorkhana terms though.

  18. Hey dude, got the 5spd I bought off adam a while ago but its just missing a KE70 5spd extension housing... I thought it'd be here by now (its long over due...) so I'll try chase it up. The 5spd that came in my parts care I'm going to keep, which wasn't the plan... but its whole!

Bugger that, I hit up a commercial wreckers and they quoted me "$880 normally... we have one sitting out of a van though, $500 for a quick sale and I'm sure you could have it" then I told him that was more than I was willing to spend... he just said bring some cash in and we could "bargain" :laff: Got almost everything else I need though, cam, carb, exhaust etc. Just need to convert the head to solid lifters and give it a bit of a once over! :laff:

  21. Anyone cracked a 15 in a KE70 body? Using a 4K or 5K(sorry! I know you didn't want them for the times!) I'm curious... :laff: From them things on the net... a 130hp engine in a tonne car (inc driver) should crack a 15.9...! Real world is a fark load different though. Anyway, I suggest a list of runs be compiled. Pity I don't have anything to add... give me a month or two.

  23. Scrapping the whole engine, don't need it at all. So the cam will go in my other engine. Undecided on which body to use now though... I think my $27 KE70 has a better body than my other one which I paid far too much for... :) Which leaves me with quite a dilemma... Possible to sell a ke70 with RWC and a pretty shagged body/interior for $500~? :D
