Bit late, but cool tutorial magig! It appears my ke70 wasn't meant to have a tacho. Bought one off ebay a while ago for $50, never arrived. And today went wrecker scouring, the only one I found and the dude wouldn't budge from $110... :) :D

Just thought about this as I saw an L20 powered car advertised for not very much. Has this been done before and if so is it an easy conversion or even worthwhile? Currently have a 4K and the phearsome 4spd, L20 comes with a 5spd and a whole car :D . Was hoping for champagne on a beer budget but thought I'd consult with those that know before I did anything stupid. Oh btw, I did try to search but 4 character minimum didn't help me ;) Cheers

I remember seeing a car on topgear where the actual speedo needle changed colour depending on the revs. Was quite ricey, but very cool. can't' remember the car though, maybe the new golf?

Hey all, yeah I'm alive. bit busy with year 12 at the moment... :D . And still haven't got my damn p's! Hopefully tomorow will change that...! But yeah, just a quick note to say I'm alive. and If a cruise goes ahead and I am on the road then I'd be more than willing to attend and meet you lot :D

As I said on boost, can't really afford the karting but would still come down. and the 12th sounds like a goer :) Not sure what other activities we could do, I reckon a bbq with something else would be ok.

What ya going to do with your old rims dude? Noticed your car on boostcruising for sale, wouldn't mind taking them off you if the price is right. That is of course if you were planning on selling them... Back on topic.. I believe as others have said spacers are the go, but I really wouldn't go chrome. Its not a ke70 thing. I plan to do this at some stage, going for the 'what its factory' sort of look. not to the extent that you have planned but close. Interested to see how it progresses.

So what sort of peak power was that fearsome K producing? And where do I sign to get one? I have a spare lung.

Cheers for that Rolla Boy, so its not as bad as it was made out to be but it could be better. I'm stingy so I'll run it into the ground first :) But hopefully by then I'll have a 5K lined up and equip that with all new ancilleries(sp?), we'll see though. Damn rustbucket.

weird coincidence, but my battery/altenator in my ke70 are playing silly buggers too. Went to batteryworld to get an opinion. My battery's on the way out, but the dude reckoned it was because of my alternator, as it was only putting around 13.5 back into the battery. I realise he's a pro and all, but being KE70 related does this sound a bit low? It was really bizzarre, one day I went to start the car and it was dead flat. When it'd been running fine before that and its been running fine since we jump started it :D How much am I look at for a reconditioned alternator? Might just flog one off another 4k... we'll see.

That ke10 is porn, I hope to god it stays that overrated :wink:

Anyone used whiteline? They seem to have a pretty good rep and I was wondering if anyone had some personal stories to tell?
