  1. 195/55 is an easy size to find. Would be minimal stretch on an 8
  2. But then you think about it, you paid $400 for a set of stock wheels. My set of Tri Spokes are worth about $1500~ have to pay good money for good wheels.
  3. They come factory with 13x5.5 so no not techincally legal but i haven't heard of anyone getting done for them. Keep stockies in case ;)
  4. Wouldn't it be easier to just use an s12 manual rack?
  5. If you're going for toyota coilovers why do you want the s13 rack? first issue is it being power steering, second you'd need to find an adapter to the steering collumn etc etc etc There's a large thread on ae86drivingclub.com.au with sr20 into ke70/ae86 info.
  6. 8 all round will be fine. Standard Suspension? not running xt130 lca's or anything in the front that provides camber? I'm going off what i've run on my cars with 14x8's. 14x8 +- 0 is a perfect size for the rear with 175/65 or 185/60. Panelvan rears actually hold a bit better offset than sedans, from what i noticed when i owned one.
  7. There's a complete 20v Turbo package up for $5000 on ae86drivingclub. No offence but you don't seem capable of doing an sr20 conversion since you couldn't even work out what an rb20 box came from, you'd be far better off buying a conversion package. They pop up prettty reguarly.
  8. ra60 is easy, put ke70 rail on, all you have to do is elongate a couple holes. I do have some monza bucket seats for sale ready to bolt into ke70 though ;)
  9. Google, literally the first result http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/568-ke70-panel-van-dash.html
  10. So I'm building a 7ac to put into my ae71 with a friend and we figured we may as well do a little bit to make it last a while. 7AFE Block and rods 4AC head = 7AC getting cam reground etc, but just wondering if there's any options for heavier duty valve springs, i know with the 4kc you can use v8 holden motor ones, are 4ac the same or would i need to get some sizes and go through some part bookets? thanks
  11. photos of US te72? mounts is ke70 cross member and ta22 mounts, apparently more solid than t18 ones?
  12. where abouts are you from? i've been looking for another panelvan to buy
  13. why would you bother with 145/60's, will be having so much fun with all the grip he's getting. Must be a show pony? Usually better off putting tyres on yourself then taking them to get balanced all whilst it's off the car then they don't know anything.
  14. lol@"stretched to buggery" 175/70 is hardly any stretch. try and get some 175/60's believe nangkang do them.
  15. Major downfall for the 30 is its steering box (no ones actually stated this yet, too busy being internet warriors), reason a car with box steering isnt ideal for drifting is there's lots of play in them. You could convert it to rack and pinion but according to this thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/36875-ke30-55-steering/ you use a ke70 rack but then you need to mod cross member to suit. For front end convert it to ae86 front suspension (not too sure of the details on this, someone might know) this gives you options of coilovers and shortened knuckles (techno toy tuning knuckles) bigger brake kits (rx7/ wilwood kit) Rear end reset leaves with an extra leaf added for stiffness, some sort of stiffer shorter stroke shocks (suzuki sierra, trd blue etc?) Engine its up to you, i know everyone here is saying engine conversions are illegal etc yes they are, but tons of people in every state drive with them get pulled over and no one really cares too much, 4age conversion has been documented lots of times so if you're a little under experienced this might be a better option, or if your wallet isnt that fat a 5k with some kind of carbs, a cam, extracters and exhaust would be ample until you get the bug for more power. All i can be bothered writing at the moment, but hopefully leads you in the right direction.
  16. But that's for fronts only $1050 - $1450, also if you could point me in the direction of bare struts with a brake set up for $200 id be keen. Everyone charges $300-$400, import places charge $150 for hubs only! Caliper brackets are $50-$60 I just purchased front BC's for $740, which is Damper adjustable (which suits me really well since the roads here are terrible and the car see's track once or month or so) JDM rotors + adm calipers for $120 Peformace pads with 3mm shaved off (to suit slotted rotors) $120 ae86 rotors + hubs $40 Wheel bearings $50 = $1070 Seems pretty reasonable to me for brand new coilovers and a good brake set up
  17. as dave said go ae86 gear, BC ($1249 f + r), TRD (~$2000 f + r), HSD ($1000 front), megan racing ($1200 F + r) etc do coilover units to suit the front, rear you can get height adjustable spring seats from BC or AJPS. AJPS will also make some for you depending on what you want. With the BC coilovers (probably be the same with most like that) though you need to put brakes onto it as well, which involves ae86 caliper bracket, rotors, hubs, wheel bearings, pads and whatever else. Just remembered Jake (can't remember user name) had to change his camber tops when he purchased bc coilovers. Might have been due to personal choice or they don't fit. wait for him to post. There's t3 coilover kit for sale at the moment and all you'll need after that is shocks, spring and camber tops if you wanted them, but then you're stuck with t18 brakes.
  18. what engine was the car last registered with? it should be as simple as changing the engine number over since its only a 200cc increase. Might be better off going and seeing the blue slip guy (or maybe a blue slip guy you're not going to) and asking him if he thinks it requires engineering.
  19. don't be so whipped? $500 on wheels, at your $150 a tyre you can't even afford tyres to go on your free wheels.
