well this is my brothers VR commodore, not a rolla but still pretty cool

 

full standard internals, t3/t4 turbo, big exhaust'n shit, standard injectors, with a lager bosh fuel pump, FPR

with a cusco 2 way to keep both spinning

 

he just picked it up from out local car shop mob after getting a haltec E6gmx computer put in it and tuned

 

 

 

 

 

 

it goes alright too for full standard insides and 5psi of boost

the tuner wants to take it up to around 7-8psi with a larger set of injectors

 

 

makes alright power, better than 130 at the engine which is about what they have stock

166rwkw, very responsive, like you plot around in 4 gear at 1800rpm you get boost almost instantly its fun to drive

and 460nm of torques will make for some hairy driving in the wet

 

and please refrain from saying that my gze turbo makes more power than that cheers

a commodoore is a commodoore but this is still sweet i was always tinkering with the idea of charging my ecetec VS V6 but was too pussy!

I hate commies. But I kinda like VS' and this is just porn. And although it makes 166rwkw's that's quite alot. There's probably many cars with way more power but have huge turbo lag and are very unbalanced.

 

That's the problem with the Aussie tuning theory....Power over performance. Response and balance means nothing. It's all about KW'S BRO!

i use to own a vp twin tubro but was always broken happy to se he can drive it all the time nice clean looking car and not bad power for just slaping a turbo on

I liken that car to cross dressing, I don't understand why you would do it but if it makes you feel good who am I to judge.

I'm not a fan of commodores, but can respect the fact that he has actually gone out of his way to improve the performance. Most tryhard dicks tend to go for visual look-at-me mods and fall short of making theirs go quicker (not just with commodores).

Obviously a lot of you have never seen the potential of a turbo commodore V6, They actually do just as well if not better then the 300zx twin turbo but then again the 1/2J's fit in there pretty good.

I give it 6 weeks. 12 tops.

But Trev, even though it may make a reasonable amount of power it's still ugly like my dog and so are 300ZX's.

 

Aesthetic cars are better than ugly straight-line-fast-cars that make the news whenever reports of hoon driving arise.

my favourite commodore ride was in a vn that had no major visual mods apart from some mags, with a RB30DET that had been worked.

 

it was at easternats, and was upsetting some showy cars.

 

good fun, but the same setup would be heaps better in a ROLLA!

actually that set up would suck in a corolla. why take a car that handles well and destroy it by making it go in a straight line :no2:
