  • As South Australian's it is difficult for us to comprehend the magnitude of this disaster given our low rainfall, but can I just say that my thoughts (and those of many others here) are with all Queen

  • ultra absorbent ones? Probably thought she had an innovative way to prevent the floodwaters rising.

The reports on the levels at Wivenhoe Dam are all over the place.

On the seqwater.com.au website it says it was 175.9% at 9am this morning.

hmmmmm topgears hilux boat could work in this situtaion  my dad lives in bowen he says u can canoe around the house again and to the pub so the local boys carnt get for drink driving again  sigh

ipswich is coping it pretty hard, but we'll be right.

I'm actually looking forward to the clean up :)

I actually listened to my Dad's advice and have a house on top of a hill. Home is fine, but work is going into overdrive. We shipped all our spare engines of to higher ground tonight. Truckie nearly fell over when I told him not to crash, as he had $22 million worth of gas turbines on board. All items of value 1 m above the ground. At least we didn't have to sandbag the place.

Good luck to all you folks up there. Down here I can't comprehend that amount of water! Hope everyone stays safe and doesn't loose too much.

Yeap our thoughts are with you folks.. hard to comprehend how much of a mess it is up there. Just be safe and look after yourselves and your loved ones. Cars and possessions can be replaced, lives can't!
