So lets look at the facts: Others HAVE had more power through the same clutch kit...... including more torque..... No oil on it.... You say the FW was machined..... Slo, you have some custom clutch no? And I dunno or care how much power and torque ou have but if the clutch is the same then you must have less of something. I don't think any of yous understand how much more torque E85 makes also the engine takes 5degree of more spark compared to avgas also it's oxygenated and at the end of the day the shit works good enough to slip clutches! Okay, I'm skeptical as to what pressure plate has been used, sure there may be a pic of a new one somewhere but the one pic of the PP straight off the flywheel as you've shown it does not appear to have any trace of the original coating left. I've seen quite a few chewed Exedy clutches from cars (including track-used cars) making over 3x the power of yours & none exhibited the colouring etc that yours does. I've also never seen a flywheel machining job that looked like yours. Random question concerning 'oxygenated' fuels....if there really is 'extra' oxygen dissolved in the fuel, in a given volume of fuel, does this not displace hydrocarbons that are used for the big bang? Therefore reducing the power of said bang as less hydrocarbons are burning? Pretty sure a motor can get enough oxygen via the intake... More the point that other stock parts will break before even a stock clutch begins to slip... ^^^ This. Well clearly they don't, and it prob won't break a stock box on 175's and I have spare boxes so I can change a box in 40mins between sessions if I have too As a former KE70 owner, I beg to differ. The point is, why change broken things if you don't have to? There's 40 minutes you could've been on the track going for a new slide angle/arse-backwards-exit record. Cause it's oxygenated it's like having 20psi instead of 15 in a way also it takes 5DEFREES more spark timing everywhere compared to avgas so like 7-8 compared to 98. And it makes mental torque down low which none of yous have. Clearly no one here has played with it and knows what its capable of....... It practically methanol! Ad the cover changed color from mega heap when I was driving it and it was slipping I didn't care so I just kept going and going and going... 1 Quote
