P.S. Your going to love life, when that turbo gets into it's effciency range. If it's close to the 2876? It didn't see huge improvements in power until it got over 17-18psi on the 16V.

yep. haha, its guna be a bag of fun..

 

The turbo is GT28 56 trim rear turbine wheel with a billet compressor wheel out of neil bates rally car, exducer size is 66mm on the compressor wheel with a GT30 comp cover that has been sleeved and machined to suit. it is a one off custom turbo built by the boys @ gcg.)

 

I did a little bit of re wiring today, re using wires out of the factory loom.. tail lights, brake lights, rear blinkers etc

 

my 3 days off this week, start on Tuesday, so the basic 'to do list' is;

 

finish prepping the bonnet and guards and prime them if need be

paint the car

put everything back together

try and con someone to weld my cell & surge or let me use their TIG

 

and I'll just see where it goes from there...

took the plunge and put a deposit on this diff and brake set up, mk2 corona diff, TRD 2way LSD, custom welded traction brackets, twin skyline caliper setup with speed flow Teflon brake lines, and also a tail shaft to suit..

 

it's about $1000 over my budget for building the t series diff up, but I know I won't break this setup anytime soon, and it comes with the big brakes as a bonus..

the s-series lasted about 2km before popping with the silvertop.. well its going to take me 4 weeks to pay the thing off, but it should be something i only have to pay for once.

So is that a pair of calipers for the rear(foot) brakes and a pair for the hand brake?

Sure is, ill need to redo all my lines for the foot brake now, not to big a job.. I should be used to doing things twice by now.

It looks well built, really like the caliper brackets.

 

They're one off custom jobbies, they're cnc machined out of 2024 alloy.
