I can vouch for the 323 SP20 as being a very sporty feeling car, great handling, looks nice, comfy seats, excellent steering wheel by the way (Nardi from factory). But it does lack in power. The motor only puts out about 180 HP (factory stated but in reality about 170). An AE82 Twincam hatch would out accelerate it simply because of power to weight. In fact my KE55 5KE gets to 70 faster up a hill but not by much, about 10 meters road distance. Although it isn't that quick it is still really fun to drive as it has phenomenal grip and ability to carry speed round a corner. Add unequal length extractors and it sounds like a WRX. Air-con in it is good, light steering and sure footed. Just don't expect it to be a power house. But.... It does really good on fuel. How do I know? I have one! Canary yellow, stands out yet people still cut me off.

As long as you have spring compressors it shouldn't take too long. If not there isn't really isn't a safe way to compress the springs. You can get a couple of planks of wood/steel, clamps and try to compress them. If the lowered spring don't need any compression when you put them over the strut then you need short stroke struts otherwise expect poor ride quality!

I've seen that Adelaide industrial Springs does leaf springs, bring in your springs and they can re set them. They can also add extra leafs if you want it more rigid.

A very long time ago I used to watch Tekkaman blade, the English version was called Teknoman. Used to be on Agros cartoon connection in the mornings before school. Unfortunately the English version is a bit cheesy with all the catch phrases and crap. The Japanese original is far better even though you have to read subtitles. I couldn't find the japanese version on youtube so here is the english version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_IBTH_U7R0 After the series ended a few special releases were done, this one was my fav. Quite weird but interesting remake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l8ax46y3VA Hope someone else remembers it! Was the shit back in the day.

I know they had A series but nothing about Z.

Oh yes you are correct! E50F Toyota Celica GT-Four (All-Trac) - ST165 & ST 185 E55F5 Toyota Corolla Sedan (DLX) (All-Trac) - (Toyota Corolla (E90) - AE95 Sedan) E57F5 Toyota Corolla Wagon (All-Trac) - (Toyota Corolla (E90) - AE95 Wagon) So it would seem that he would have the E57F5 box, whether it interchanges with the E50F box I wouldn't know. But there is another box that the Celica uses: E154F Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 Allot of stuff to sort through!

The 1mz uses an E-series gear box. E351: 2006 - 2009 Camry (XV40) E153: Toyota Camry V6 - Second generation (MKII) Toyota MR2 Turbo SW20 (1990–1999) EB62: 2009–present Toyota Camry (XV40) I would recommend trying out those boxes for fitment instead of trying to mate to a C-series cause I'm assuming its not a Tercel? Or for ease, get a 4agze. Then you can either get a larger pulley for more boost or go turbo. Much less hassle.

Lol....... But I have to ask, why?

Ok I get what's going on now. You are definitely going to have to post some pics up so that we can give you spot on advice otherwise it's all going to be subjective. What it sounds like is that it is the actual plugs on the back of the light bulb? Or is it the plug that leads off from the light bulb? Best advice without seeing it is to obviously replace the plugs. A multimeter tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWZfD73Xs1M Digital multimeter will not all look the same but will all carry the same basic functions. The most important features that you will use is the voltage or continuity range. The voltage function lets you see that there is power being applied to a circuit and how much voltage there is present in the system. The continuity function is a very useful tool. Say you have a bunch of wires that are all the same colour sticking out of your dash and the other side of the bunch is through the firewall in the engine bay. You want to know which wire goes where but you cannot pull them through so you can not physically identify them. With the continuity test you place a probe on the end of one wire, walk to the engine bay and start probing the wires at the other end until the multi meter starts buzzing at you. Anyway, with the light bulb connectors you will be able to see if there is voltage present at the connector without having the bulb in place. You place the black (earth) probe to exposed metal on the car body and the red (active/live) on the pins/sockets going to the bulb. Turn the power on the the lights. Check all of the pins/sockets for voltage. usually on a interior lamp it is just two sockets, one for earth and one for voltage. You can test which one is for earth with the continuity tester by touching the car body and then a pin/socket on the plug. When you find the earth pin/socket then it just leaves the other pin/socket to be the voltage connection. So if that remaining pin does not have a voltage on it when you probe it, it means that either the wire leading to the pin is broken or a fuse has blown. Brake/Headlights are usually 3 pin sockets unless you have multiple bulbs in which case there would be two light bulbs (two pin each) and an indicator light (2 pin). If it is a three pin light then say for a headlight one pin is earth, one pin is low beam and the last pin is high beam. For brake lights it is the same. But by the sounds of connections being rusted to buggery i would say a simple connector replace might fix the problem. Certainly you would want to replace them even if it were not the case.

Aids Isn't Facebook/Twitter/Whatcolourmyshitwasthismorning enough? Admittedly I did try myspace once, I got to the set up page where you choose your colour theme and I quit. That was my longest experience.

I think pics are in order. I'm not sure from what you are saying what the problem is. A multimeter is a must, even a cheap one will do. I can teach you how to use it, they are very simple devices. Why would the sockets be different? Have you done some body loom changes or something?

For some reason I have quite a bit of motivation recently. I spent another few hours of cutting, grinding, welding, measuring and got the passengers seat finished. The more that I do to the car the more I start to really like it. Next is to neaten up the dash ie get the start switch, AFR meter and comms connector fitted and sealed off. So, I have really ratty carpet and have been wanting to change it for some time now. So that is next on the shopping list. Along with that I have never liked the look of the bare handbrake so I'll start looking around to see if any other cars handbrake console will fit nicely over the corollas one and custom fit it on. Also on a happier note I have re mounted the supercharger with gilmer drive pulleys. The new ratios seem to make it scream! My neighbours even heard the thing winding up. I'll take some pics and a vid when I neaten it all up. Then will come the task of making some induction piping, should be rather interesting considering there is stuff all space to do so.

More stuff! Only by chance did I see that U-pull it at Gillman was having a special sale on Saturday. The special was that you pay $55 entry fee but any parts that you could carry with your two hands were free. I saw some innovative ways of carrying gearboxes that day.. Anyway, I was after two Honda prelude seats that I saw earlier that week. Failing that I spotted some good condition Celica seats in case the Honda seats were taken. When I got there the Honda drivers seat was gone and both Celica seats were pillaged. It had occurred to me that I had just pretty much wasted $55. So I began scouring the un-organised jap section to see if I could find any good interior bits. I came across a KE30 with a good condition centre console, as in it was in a condition better than mine because it did have a crack in it but it was all in one piece. In further travels I found another KE30 tucked away in the corner out of sight and it had a perfect condition centre console! woot! Still not worth the $55 that I spent though. Luckily I walked across a Hyundai coupé FX and it had great condition seats in it! Score! So I struggled them back to my car which was close to 1km away from the point of where I picked the seats up to my car door. My arms are very sore today. The rails on the seats were slightly wider than the corollas so I couldn't just weld the rails onto the supports. I ended up cutting off the entire bottom support from the corolla seat and welding it onto the bottom of the coupé seats. The welding part was easy but cutting off the entire bottom bit was a pain in the arse. I went through 4 disks. So after all the welding I cleaned it all up, brushed all the slag/oxidisation off and painted over so that it wouldn't rust. Vacuumed the seats and bolted straight in! Soooooo much more comfy.... So next will be to do the passengers side and get some seat covers so it doesn't look sus.

Droooool........ Wow that stuff even seems quite affordable. I might see if I can get into contact with them when I get some free cash. not for things like a cylinder head but maybe the ribbed pulleys etc. Maybe I need to lean the language though....

I see both sides of the argument and can understand each point. Loose your licence for 6 months and then all this crap means nothing. You realise that so what if someone is going 60 in a 70 zone. You want to overtake them? Is it worth a possible fine for that extra 30 seconds it takes for you to get to your destination? What if you were to cause an accident when you went to overtake? What if you actually maim or even worse kill someone whilst doing so? Then tell me your excuses and gripes. These types of scenarios and accidents do happen and cops bait people to root out people that take risks that do not need to be taken. I always "hear" of these stories of shonky cop stuff but I don't actually "know" anyone that this has happened to. It's like criminals, just because one person breaks into your house does not mean that EVERYONE is a criminal. just like cops, not all of them are arse holes. If you are doing nothing wrong you have nothing to complain about. Yes I have lost my licence before and I intend never to loose it again. My last speeding ticket was about 6 months ago, before that one was two years. Only reason I got one just before was because of god damn speed changes that you aren't aware of. I usually go fishing at Edithburgh once a year and the roads are 110 all the way down. Well turns out last year they changed the speed on one section down to 100. There are no big signs indicating speed change apart from the usual normal size sign posts. So I admit that I should have paid more attention to the signs but going at 110 for more than 50% of the trip and then turning into a 100 zone for no apparent reason is what I hate.

Just wondering if anyone has been this before and has any information on it. Looks all custom. Wondering what it would have gone into. Looks like alot of money spent! Not even sure where those quads came from!

Here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/11-for-sale-car-parts/ Lots of stuff for sale. Usually WTB threads don't get many responses because by the time someone wants to sell something they have forgotten that someone wanted it before hand. Keep an eye out in the for sale threads.

Also, should we have a scammers list? I was reading through the AE86dc posts and looks like we already have a post about him. Just so that new members have an idea of who to avoid. Cheers
