    Keep your eyes on the forums, you can find some good cars for sale. You could also try ebay or some wreckers have whole cars that you can buy. If your going to spend $2,500 on a car, what does it matter if you buy one for $1,000?? You'd still have another $1,500 to spend on rego and whatevers needed to get it onto the road. Personally, i'd go older. They are RWD, you can do alot to them and they have massive amounts of space under the bonnet. What ever you decide i'm sure its going to be a great car.

    Yep, all early/late tail lights are interchangable.

    Saw one today. Not impressed. Looks like a cross between a Daihatsu Sirion and being hit with the ugly stick. "Hottest Corolla Ever"?? I don't think so.

    You could always try removing the clock and replacing it with a tacho, or get a Fuel/Temp gauge from a TA22 Celica and sick that in the clock slot while replacing the Fuel/Temp gauge with a tacho from a KE50, TA22 or one of the early spinters.

    Hey, thought I'd share what I just bought. I have a scanner but its not hooked up, so its easier just to take photos... :) I'm told that its for the 1978 KE55 models. The only thing that puzzles me is the 77/78 KE30 Steering wheel in the pictures and the 1981 KE55 tail lights on the hardtop. Despite all that its a great little brochure. Enjoy.
