  1. While we're on the topic of crash test..... and cause I'm bored at work..... here's another one I find quite amazing. http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=C...emb=1&aq=f# (in google vids for orangLJ :P) I both the front on and side on impacts the safety cell is so strong the front windscreen doesn't even crack, let alone break!! :D Fifth Gear actually did there own test with one of these at 70mph and the safety cell holds up just as well!! ....although given the g-forces involved, survival is still basically impossible. http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=t...emb=1&aq=f#
  2. Sorry, that google link I put up wasn't the video I wanted, click on it and scroll down to the "chinese 4wd crash test" (Landwind). thats what I was talking about - re airbag/dash. :D Like I said orangeLJ - There always more than one way to skin a cat!! Any business that blocks its employees from google might as well just throw out their PC's!!! :P Now we just need to find you a back door for ebay!!
  3. There's always more than one way to skin a cat mate! :D Can you see this? http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=c...emb=1&aq=f# If so, just do google vids searches (which searches youtube) at work to get access to youtube.
  4. :D :P Depends if you're paying by the hour or go to the right part of town and you might get one for half a pack of ciggies. If you're married - Anything with diamonds in it!!
  5. True that..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZWy_fASSiQ...016&index=4 Whats the point of even having airbags if the dash crushes you into the seat!!! :D
  6. Diddo. Did you see the Communist car story on TGUK last week? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFfQSFx1Gek...feature=related Sorry could only find the full story with Russian commentry. :D
  7. Yeah it probably could. BUT you wouldn't make much power cause you would be severly limiting the amount of boost and timing you could run with that CR. With a stock cam and the charger you're not really going to have a lack of torque. :D Personally I'd leave the CR stock or drop it, then get 10+psi and 25o+ up its guts for a bit more top end.
  8. So you got new Brembo rotors? or rotors and pads? Are they made for a '55, or something else that happens to fit? More info please! :D
  9. I don't think our Government would let Holden go down either. :D Wouldn't be suprised it Holden, Opel and Vauxhall kept operating while GM crumbles above them. You never know they might just end up buying their independance back from GM!? :P
  10. hahaha slut indeed. I hold no responsibility for the wiring, tried to fix it like 3-4 times!! :D
  11. Might be a little pricey - but maybe by a genuine Toyota 4k/5k sump gasket!?
  12. Mate you can't have your cake and eat it too!! :P I have a 609 in one of my cars and even that is verging on too big for a regularly streeted car. Saying that, get it out at a motorkhana or in a paddock etc and its a completely different car. If you look back through some older threads with headings like "what mods should I do?", "how do i get more power?" etc I bet every one has somebody asking the question - What do you want to use the car for? There is a bloody good reason for this. No offence mate, but its seems you never asked yourself this question and now you're suffering from your poor decisions!!! :D
  13. Why are you using a 3k head on a 4k (ie high comp motor) for corced induction? Or is that just an interum motor unitl you get a charged 4k happening?
  14. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AMXdMARaiA
  15. It sounds like a load issue, like a faulty MAP sensor. But you don't have one do you?
  16. Or replace the 4k with a 7k and re-fit the AC pump. :bash:
  17. +1 Use the coil + terminal as your relay trigger, not the main power and power the relay straight off the battery.
  18. Check earth straps and battery terminals.
  19. BTW, just noticed that that other (red) engine bay pictured is actually a 7k!
  20. The guys who owns that car is in Ireland and has projects thread on both club-K and KP61.net. You need to pay $10 to become a Platinum member on club-K to view the projects section, but KP61 is free to register and you'll find it easy. That car is turning into a pretty awesome build....... Corillo rods, titanium flywheel, TRD valves/springs etc, carbon fibre tappet cover...... is that enough to make you go look!?
  21. Random vids for anybody who didn't see Sunday nights Twenty20 match.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJisYcXPE6A
  22. Cool Fiat :hmm: My brother has a 128 Sport L so I know a little bit about these. Carbies are prime for blow through turbo setups too.
  23. Yes, but by bugger all.
  24. Platinum members section Brodie!!!! Here's a couple of pics from the thread he posted. Using a DCOE manifold with custom runners..... They're Kelheim (SP?) carbs off a 98 CBR900RR. Just noticed this quote from the owner..... just a quick photo after fininshing my KP61 bike carb project. i finially got it started yesterday and it runs soooo sweet. much better than it ever did in 40 dellortos idles at 900rpm with a wild cam and lightned fly. the throttle respose is amazing.
