  1. Yeah I use the method that Redwarf mentioned. As he said you need to think about it for 5 seconds and rest the breaker on the right chassis rail. Probably more inportantly, the bit he forgot the mention is remove the coil lead to the dizzy so that the car doesn't start when you do it. :lolcry:
  2. Jason that bodykit is made to be FUNCTIONAL, not visually appealing. Its obviously an Group B Audi quattro, but with additional aerodynamics for Pikes Peak. >2:04 This is about the only bodykit I would personally have....... :lolcry:
  3. I have some spacer/stud changer plates on my mazda which convert from 110 to 114. They're 25mm thick so the also change the required offset from RWD to that of a FWD. I had them locally made but check with some wheel shop, you should be able to get a full set for around $300.
  4. So the head wasn't machined when the HG was done!? :lolcry: Did you happen to also put a straight edge over the top of it trev? Ie check the tappet cover sealing area is also flat? How loose is the dip-stick? Have also seen blow-by through the dip-stick shaft that leaks in that area. Easily fixed with some leccy tape on the rubber stopper at the end.
  5. One of my fav saying is also "assumption is the mother of all f@$kups!" :hmm: ...Anyway, if its leaking on the drivers side of the motor it may be worth checking if all of your sparkplug tubes and/or O-rings aren't leaking. I've tried invane befor the fix a "tappet cover oil leak" only to discover it was actually coming from the sparkplugs. PCV valves are pretty easy to check, just blow/suck on them which will tell you the direction and how much resistance is in them.
  6. You can just bend the thin bracket that holds it usually.
  7. I'll have a couple of cool pics of a Vito in a week or 2....... Mmmm evo 7 4g!!! :hmm:
  8. Bare in mind that was basically 2 hours on boost Cam. :hmm: Bit over 20L/100km I could have drank twice that much in my mazda. :no2:
  9. Thats a new Fiat 500 Jip, re-release of a semi cult car like the mini and bug. FYI, Fiat is an "owning" company, not an "owned by" company. Don't know if these still have all of these, but they used to own Lancia, Alfa and FERARRI!!!! Ever noticed this one the nosecone of an F1.... :hmm:
  10. Keeping with the "me and the missus" theme....... Can anybody beat the location?
  11. I had a bit of an experiment with fuel economy on the weekend. :) Car load of fishing gear + 2 mates (one of which over 100kg) + 130kmh odd cruise to D'port (200km), + an outlaw on a Buell to race = don't expect much left from a 60lt tank!!! :P
  12. Jeeze you really do have bugger all clearance between the rad and crank pully Brodie!! MM - also search youtube for "5k EFI Turbo" and theres a short vid of my kit also. :)
  13. Good work buddy. :P Is Howie stoned!? :)
  14. PM'd you back. As I said forget the stocko/toyota ECU's and just spend a couple of hundy on an aftermarket unit. Do it once, and do it properly. :P I can send you a diagram for the TPS wiring, and thats about all you need toyota wise, provided you get a wiring diagram with your chosen ECU. Oh and pull the idle control solenoid off and block it with a plate, more trouble than its worth. :)
  15. Yeah we've got a couple of ACL plants here in Launy. :)
  16. Funny you should say that, Win dropped out from the ceremony to broadcast WWE. :) Ten was the first to go back to its Golf (any broken windows Madrolla68 :P) sounded like they were trying to make excuses saying "we're trying to act as a distraction from these terrible events in Vic".
  17. All 5 channels here have exactly the same footage on of the "Black Saturday" ceremony.
  18. haha if you don't wanna get bitten by the boost bug then you'd better sell the charger now!!! :P Trust me its addictive, and worse than the rotor-bug!! I reckon the secret to keep decent bottom end is just retaining your stock cam. :P
  19. Sounds like a good night! hehe Sorry I didn't make it buddy. Had full intentions of it when I left work (when I mentioned the snorkle), got home and developed a major case of the CBF's. Trust me leigh, that made me feel older that what you would have!! :P
  20. 2 less holes/studs per side on a 3k sump so all of the holes wouldn't have even lined up if it was a 3k one. :D
  21. Do I need to bring a snorkle and some flippers??? :D
  22. :D I thought all the kiddies where back at school now!? :P
  23. Step 1, READ THE RULES! Step 2, have some patience and ABIDE by the rules. Step 3, F@#K off if you don't like it. :D Have a nice day.
  24. While we're on the topic of crash test..... and cause I'm bored at work..... here's another one I find quite amazing. http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=C...emb=1&aq=f# (in google vids for orangLJ :P) I both the front on and side on impacts the safety cell is so strong the front windscreen doesn't even crack, let alone break!! :D Fifth Gear actually did there own test with one of these at 70mph and the safety cell holds up just as well!! ....although given the g-forces involved, survival is still basically impossible. http://video.google.com.au/videosearch?q=t...emb=1&aq=f#
  25. Sorry, that google link I put up wasn't the video I wanted, click on it and scroll down to the "chinese 4wd crash test" (Landwind). thats what I was talking about - re airbag/dash. :D Like I said orangeLJ - There always more than one way to skin a cat!! Any business that blocks its employees from google might as well just throw out their PC's!!! :P Now we just need to find you a back door for ebay!!
