  1. If you have good driving road you might as well make the most of them!! :jamie: Won't be making to Hobart for this one, but I work on Targa every year doing audio visual/media stuff. You also coming down for the proper Targa Tas?
  2. The turbo MX6 drivers seats have adjustable lumbar supports in them too. I always used to wind it up and stick in my mates back while he was driving! :jamie: Think the bolstering on the sides is also adjustable so it hugs your sides more. May depend which model they're from though. :hmm:
  3. Yeah point coil just has 1 wire from coil -ve to dizzy. Elec dizzy has -ve and +ve wires to the coil.
  4. Need to change your sig now too! :jamie:
  5. Pretty sure the Auto "viewing hole" in the backing plate you speak of is to get access to the flex-plate>torque converter bolts. :jamie:
  6. Probably wouldn't hurt,....... but I'd be more inclined to remove the valves and give it a bath in some petrol! :jamie: Chuck some new valve stem seals (about $40-50) in it while you're at it.
  7. Should have new turbo on next weekend. Come round and I'll show you just how much fun semi-slicks are, let alone full slicks. :jamie:
  8. That made me LOL. They're circuit slicks not drags buddy. :jamie:
  9. haha probably not too far away. :jamie: So is my T25G .48 housing going to fit this you reckon? Miss that thing so much!
  10. Liking what I'm hearing Darren! and USD$1660RRP!!!!!....... Do you think I did alright then for $365! :D
  11. Just register at KP61.net mate. You'll find there is heaps more KP specific info on there than here. :D
  12. :D
  13. KE = K powered rolla KM = K powered litace KP = K powered starlet/publica ....see a trend starting here! This has got to be the coolest KP30 ever..... If you're intersted in them I highly recommend signing up to KP61.net to read this guys whole projects thread here.... http://www.kp61.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3925
  14. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...eries/Gearboxes Just edited the A series GB section to include this odd-ball. :D
  15. The gasket pictured is a Permaseal EM30, readily available at Bursons.
  16. Most K manifold gaskets actually have 3k big port sized inlets anyway, so you'll most likely not need to touch the gasket. I'll find a pic of this for you. :D ......... Top one is a stock 4k head - with a 3kbp sized gasket.
  17. Top one slipped on pretty easy. Bottom one however wasn't that easy, but went on. Just need to hold your tongue the right way. :D You could use a little bit of grease to help it slip on.
  18. Correct. :D Low pressure pump and a reliable low pressure pass through regulator.
  19. Mines got S13 seats. More supportive but still look relatively stock'ish.
  20. Cough :) 7kc - same as 3k/4k etc 7ke - much bigger exhaust and oval inlets. Round out the ovals and you have 3k big ports. Search and ye shall find pics. :D
  21. Dude I admire your enthausiasum! :D Don't get me wrong I'm not having a go at you. You're learning the same way I did by trial and error, and at the end of the day working on your car is what you enjoy. But part of your learning process is taking advice from other people! ...right that said: Yes your right upgrading your fuel system is a good thing. Infact for what your planning its mandatory. BUT, although it will work, what your doing is not the right setup for what you're building. Its basically just overkill (and added expense) IMHO. When it comes to fuel setups for carby draw-through, you might aswell forget the turbo is even there!! This is because the carby is obviously not under boost. Hence you only need to supply it with adequate flow, at a low pressure as you would a naturally aspirated carby. IE a Holley red or Carter green (70'ish GPH @ 6'ish PSI) would be plenty for a 4kzc, ideally with a normal old pass through regualtor. With blow-through you need to run the fuel setup you're planning, with a RR reg because the carby is under pressure and "you need more fuel pressure than boost pressure". The reason you will NEED to run a RR reg is because the main EFI pump is going to be putting out over 50psi and you can't just put back-pressure on it with a pass through reg or it'll shit itself. It you don't run a reg at all and just run it straight into the carby then your SU will most likely look like a high pressure water fountain!!! The thing that you're forgetting about a RR reg is the fact that it has a RETURN line. This means that (with a Malpassi CARBY RR reg) your fuel comes into the reg at high pressure....and out at a pre-set low pressure (say 3-15psi) by diverting excess fuel out through the return line. As you come on boost fuel demand grows and the amount of fuel returned to the tank is reduced. Do you now understand what I'm trying to say?
  22. Always good to hear from you Darren :D , I'll get some more pics up soon and hopefully you'll be able to tell me more. All I really know for now is thats its a "t28", its ball bearing, and has a steel wheel!! :) Seller was told it was the stock turbo on an S15 he bought,...... but I already know they had Garrett turbos! Guys the old HKS kits where a carby, non intercooled setup with a pretty small turbo and not the greatest flowing cast manifold. Don't get me wrong they're good (if you can get your hands on one), but would be a pretty big downgrade for me at this stage. Next time I see a pic of a kit (they pop up on cars on trademe sometimes) I'll chuck a pic up in the FAQ, just like I'm about to with a K50 that fits A series! Bottom radiator hose is stock K, top one is cut with some old exhasut with a cap brazed on (was like $20 at a rad shop). Was one of those temporary things that I haven't got around to fixing yet. Should be all alloy soon.
  23. Wait till I take delivery and I'll put up another pic that will explain all. :hmm:
  24. Yeah go fishing most weekends if I can. Our Bream are also pretty illusive. Compared to them being everywhere in say Qld. Will deffinately be keeping a phtotgraphic record also. :hmm:
  25. Heard about a lot. First one myself or my mate have actually caught/seen.
