  13. Copycat! :yak:
  14. Oh and I paid $200 (trade price) for my brand new reduction starter
  15. Red - S1 & 2 RX7 are 4x110. S3 is actually 4x114 and everything after S4-S8 is 5x114. :y: Had this same issues using Laser S pac wheel on my '55. Dodgy- but I found the easy way to crack them off is to put the wheel nuts on finger tight, then losen them another half turn and then take it for a quick drive up the backstreets slowly while swinging the steering wheel back and forward. I only did that when I couldn't bash them off with a lump of 4x2 though!! :yak:
  16. No :yak: I replaced my normal 4k SM with a reduction motor. Didn't see any increase in crank RPM. :y: Have you also double checked the timing? If its around 20-30o BTDC when you're trying to start it this will give the same low crank speed as high comp or bad earths.
  17. Is all the wiring cut? Otherwise it should just be a matter of plugging everything back in! Yeah the old D5's are just a "coil negative trigger" as there's no ignition to control. And you're right with your fuel system, VL pump will do the trick fine and they're cheap and easy to find. Just did a quick search for info on D5 wiring and found this for you: Fax a request to 0298081245 asking for a fax back of some of the important pages for the D5. That is the factory fax number, they will have a copy of the manual for a D5 somewhere... probably hidden under some bones from convicts from the first settlement. (its an old ECU) but will work..! There are still cars out there running 10's on old D5's :y:
  18. Got mine today thanks Jip :y:
  19. .....hotwires. :y: Nice work Sturgey. ;)
  20. haha then you missed the point. There was nobody from Hobart there, or even shoiw interest in the thread. :|
  21. Yeah Aaron....... all the Hobart guys that came up for the photo shoot.....didn't you see them there!? :| [/opinion]
  22. Cool thanks for the info mate. Did you get everything off Dan that you need to make it run? ie all the sensons, elec dizzy etc etc? If you have, it should really just be a matter of plugging everything back into the ecu, give it some power and eart, time it up and off you go! :| It's not real hard to get a basic ECU like that running.
  23. Any thoughts on making a little bit more of a cruise out of it? ....and go somewhere further....and nicer :| than Hollybank?
  24. Got any pics of the K motor in your engine bay? Did you do the conversion? And did you move the transfer case back at all? I've just got a Murati LWB and have a 7k sitting here waiting to go in! :|
  25. That didn't answer my question!!! Dude it sounds like your spending 4x times more on a fuel setup than what you have to!!! All you need is a regular carby low pressure pump with adequate flow. So surge tank or EFI pump, hell you (with the right pump) you could even get away with not even running a FPR!!!! :|
