Thats a very good rule to address BUT (Here we go :) ) what if the time recorded was done at somewhere like the main straight at qld raceway or another track and they havnt been bothered to go to the drags to test it.

How was i to know what they seen it on, all it said was speedweek, Could of been anything.

Its just like the blue/white headlights are illegal but european cars are released in aus with them. Ha, No not at all, I have some 100/130 h4 blues and they are awesome.

Just like to ad that my brother's (Ricky Johns) Lj Torana ran the 12.20 on 15" 205's with 60ft of wheelspin, He did not stall up, just tried to drive it off the start line fast (the slowest time that night was his 1st run of a 14.72 @ 103mph due to major wheelspin on the line), He only has a mild engine package as he wanted to keep it street drivable (not sure of the exact HP but it is around 400), It has been off the road for the last few months getting tubbed to run the 265's and having the rear suspension moved, Also having the minispool changed (from memory it has gone from a 23 to a 32) and upgraded the carby to a holley 750 Double Pumper, It will run in the high 11's but I'm hoping it will go in the low 11's. I will post before and after pics of it in the next couple of weeks but not in this topic. Just put a vid of his up, His is the 2nd car the other is his mates VH: Updated the vid so and the link didnt work, all fixed now.

I was going to mention it but you shouldnt adjust your idle without trouble shooting the problem 1st.

"Same as above" Check for vac leaks and check to make sure you havnt got a stuffed lead or plug (check all the ignition).

I would be on the phone to NULON.

The octane boost and clean has a lower octane rating than the octane booster so it would of had a slightly lower octane. With that you havnt tuned it to run the lower octane thats why it was pinging (that is why i said fouled plugs but it also had detonation), Unfortunatly Nulon can't do anything about it as it was an "operator error". What do you normally run in it as a 13.7 is pretty good with a back off.

When going from a loaded revving engine to dropping down to idle and free spinning the engine tends to choke and when not tuned properly it wont repair itself to the normal idle speed and will die down to a lower engine speed and yes a vacuum leak will encourage this drop alot more.

It probably cleaned up the fuel system a bit and fouled the spark plugs.

Was it Nulon octane boost and clean? I have never had a problem with running it in my boosted cars, When was the last time you got fuel for it and what do you run?

Just went to Autobarn Ipswich and they want $79.95 for the same pod, Autopro wants $55 RRP but i will probably get them for around the $40 mark as my old boss from autobarn owns the joint. The oz distributor for DNA is in Tullamarine, Victoria so thats probably why they are cheaper.
