Depends how bad the battery is.

CCA, once the battery is warm it loses it's power delivery, a half dead battery will often give good power delivery the first time you want it then you let it sit and it restores itself.

Sounds like a half dead battery, take it to your local battery supplier and get them to do a load test on it.

Permanently locked to where you set the timing, blaster 2 will be fine but make sure you run it without a ballast resistor, you cannot recurve it yourself, all you do is adjust your dizzy for the overall timing advance (ie: set dizzy to 15 deg, you will have 35 degrees of advance, set dizzy to 10 and you will have 30). There is a curve sheet that comes with the module, I wish I would have scanned mine. I myself and a mate of mine had one, never drove mine, mates was a daily driver on gas, no issues.

If you want advance then buy a 4age dizzy and run it on a hyperpak ignition system or if you don't need advance then run the 4age dizzy and coil onto an ignition module like a BIM024 (bosch ignition module), this way you have the right dizzy for the job. 3 - Dizzy red wire 7 - Dizzy black wire 15 - Coil positive (+) 16 - Coil negative (-)
