That is why my dad and brother collect the stuff :laff:
They had a HT/G ute advertised for wrecking and a guy rang up and said:
'I will give you 400 bucks if it has a toolbox door (one under the tailgate) and tray side panels'
They didn't think twice.
Ha, my very 1st look at a block had me laughing, they have this tiny piss ant block compared to the rest of the engine, oh they fit.
Just for a reference, this is a 350 chev in the car that the engine came out of, you can see daylight.
You sure it wasn't 98ron with ethanol as ethanol in a non suited car can experience more problems with hot fuel handling because the vapour pressure of fuel with ethanol will be greater.
Standard or aftermarket dumps? try oversize aftermarkets...
2 days is funny, that is enough time to do an engine swap and have time left over.
A lot of dealers and mechanics don't like to work on 300's and when they do they normally charge through the roof, some of the prices our customers tell us are appalling.
The 300 is also very underestimated, if you have ever seen under the bonnet of one and how much airflow the engine gets then you'd be surprised and for a 20 year old car they are very advanced.
Some poor misguided souls also like to do this with 300zx's as they don't know how to get them out of the top.
Some more pics for you Evan, didn't finish it as I found that the cam had been chewed out by the head so I had to swap the head over and I had to replace the intake valves in the other head.
(tensioner is just sitting there until I put the belt backing plates on)
I reckon that it is going to be fairly hard to try to pull the bars out of the mould, when I made the skyline racebar the mould was made out of a flexible mould maker covered with a shit load of mould release and it was still hard to get the bar out.
Couldn't get 5000k, it was 4300k (yellow)or 6000k, no use going higher, there has been a lot of feedback to say that the 6000k are the best for producing light that is easy to see.
