G'day guys, haven't updated much, nobody seems to be too interested haha, we are competing in the Super 6 touring cars (saloon cars) at Phillip island this weekend, big field with lots of very fast cars, 29 cars entered, should be a great weekend, unfortunately we can't afford the friday practice so will be straight into qual on saturday!! Running clubsport wheels now, cars looking a bit plain with most of the stickers gone, hopefully we can fill it back up with some sponsors! all the action from race 2 and 3 sunday will be on speedweek on sbs in a few weeks :y:

haven't had allot of spare time, but played with this a bit today, chucked some lowered springs in the rear and the old shocks out of my vt racecar, and widened one of the rear wheels, looks tuff i think :P, just gotta do the same to the front now :)

yeah its good that you can get it all, lucky i don't need any because i don't have any money haha, the funny part is, i have a brand new tie rod end, all new ball joints, and new rear wheel cylinder, that the previous owner brought, its all just sitting in a box as it doesn't need any of it yet, but nice that i don't have to buy it all haha :D

G'day peeps, i finally got myself a bit nicer camera, so i took a few pics :) and as you can see its not perfectly straight but still looks better than plastic that's cracked everywhere and you just push it on like that, its really hard in some spots, had to bash it in a few spots... and just bend it by hand where you need to.. and just for a giggle i did this.. i also swapped my old steering back from when i swapped the front end, the one i put in it has a stuffed inner tie rod end and pitman arm, so i cleaned the other one up and swapped it as its in good condition

yeah i'm the same, the plan is to tidy it up a bit for now, and club reg it for cheapness, cruise around for a while, then when i get sick of it give it a coat of paint and maybe a few mods, then cruise again haha

thats looking really good mate! one thing i was wondering about, what wheels are you going to use? the black steelies look like they fill out the guards better? i'm sure it probably says it here somewhere but i couldn't be bothered looking... great job though guys :y:

Here's some pics of it buffed, got bored and put some stripes on it with tape to see what it looks like, think it kinda suits it.. obviously the stripes would go further up but i ran out haha looks a bit better in the pics but still looks pretty good over all in person :)

this is a nice one, there's a few different fronts and backs but same body shape.. not sure what color i'm going yet, but for now its staying as it is..

Yeah its not too bad, and i got the vt wagon i swapped it with for free, well for putting an engine in someones car.. My eyes are bleeding haha

G'day all, this is my latest project (car on the waiting list..) After wanting the car for about 4 months but not being able to afford it, the previous owner asked me if i had a commodore v6 engine for a conversion he's doing, ended up swapping a vt v6 wagon for the corona! its a little bit rough, but very good in the rust department, seems to only have a tiny bit on one of the rear wheel arches, has a few dents and some of the interior is a bit torn up, but still in pretty good condition for its age, i never used to like these mk2's much, but done right they can look really good :) and i now love the shape.... anyways here are some pics. stole the wheels off the green corona for pics haha he's dropping off the original door next week, just needs the window changing.. only real rust on the whole car :D Gave it a real quick buff today, looks allot better, its a bit cloudy looking but not too bad, paint was already worn through in a few spots so couldn't go too nuts on it.. also the bonnet and roof looks funky because its wet..

everything on this build is just awesome, really high quality work, hanging to see it flying through the bush :D Great job mate!

Highlights from last weekend!

Off to winton tomorrow for my first national round in the saloon cars! hopefully the car will go ok with 2x 30 lap race :P got it running on e85, not been dyno tuned, will check it after a few laps in the first session, iv'e got it set a little rich to start off with.

haha, yeah would like it a touch lower but looks good how it is anyways

mines only dropped 2" in the rear, if i have someone in the back it hits the bump stops in the rear over big bumps, and thats without much fuel haha
