  1. 5k hydraulic pushrods by bLinded_ 5k hydraulic dished (lugs) 13781-13100 150mm 5k hydraulic flattop 13781-13081 156mm more pushrod lengths by Andy43 4k flatop 186mm and from Lifter to Rocker 182mm. 3k 176mm overall. Lifter to Rocker 172mm. 3k 175mm overall. Lifter to Rocker 172mm. 3k Earlier 172mm overall. Lifter to Rocker 169mm.
  2. TS- twin squish (a pretty much meaningless term) = W- with head lugs
  3. You are way overcomplicating things. You have flat top (well really shallow O-dish for 5k)and D-dished (Reverse Domed is the correct term) with the 4k/5k motors. I would have made the list more like: K 3k bigport 3k smallport 4k flattop 4k dished 5k flattop 5k D-dish 7k 2k aren't in anything australian delivered.
  4. Quite possibly, I'd be doing some more maths and measuring to be sure. Download the ACL piston catalog and compare specs. Standard 3k's have 75mm bore, the Charades 76mm. So with the 40thou charades would effectively be a 2mm overbore taking you to 77mm. You would have to check skirt to crank clearance, but the charades were 14.5mm shorter. Plus as I said grind the block in places for crank/rod clearance. I do have a feeling though that these are the pistons used in Redwarfs old grunter 3k. The piston pin diameters are the same. It is the width of the little end which may be the biggest issue.
  5. 4k dished pistons. D-dish on left, twin-squish on the right. As for 5k's having a proper flat top piston I've only ever seen a couple. One had Gemini G161 pistons and the other was a turbo 5k which had the pistons machined down to the bottom of the dish (the pistons sat down the bore at TDC).
  6. Sorry, but the term "Twin Squish" refers to the piston design, not the head. Dished 4k's either come with D dish or twin squish pistons... Both have the same shallow combustion chamber head design (shared with dished 5k) with the lugs. Also O-Dish is the 5k equivalent of a flat top. They aren't proper flat tops, as they had to put in a shallow dish to enable the use of the normal flattop 4k head... otherwise they'd have stupid compression ratios with the extra 200cc's. Do some compression ratio maths and you'll understand. I'll find a pic of the different 4k dished pistons and put it up.
  7. With a 3k running 4k crank and rods. CB Charade pistons look like they'd come close. Level with the block at TDC and are 14.5mm shorter than 3/4k pistons. Come in 76mm plus 20 and 40 thou oversize. Only issue I see is the area for the little end is 25mm compared to the 3/4k of 28.6. Run the 40 thou pistons and you'd have a 1360cc 3k. :) You'd need to do some block clearancing.
  8. The ke30/55 diff is wider, can't remember offhand by exactly how much, but probably something like 40mm. You'll most likely run into scrubbing with 14" rims/tyres and have to massage the guards. Think Ke20me has had his 14's redrilled to 4x110, I know that ScottKE1X did. I had to roll the lip on my rear guards a little bit running 185/60's on mazda 13x5.5" rims with the std diff.
  9. Ask Redwarf, he had a very healthy 3k motor with 4k crank in it.
  10. Nope, used a whiteline ke1x item. Works good but you can have issues with it hitting your brake calipers at full lock if you let your pads wear down to much. More of an issue with akebono ke2x calipers (long thin pads) than with the jap ke30 calipers (square pad type). Yep ke30 front hubs will bolt up with ke1/2x disc brake wheel bearings. Original rear axles (and drums) will need redrilling or something as ke30 axles are no good (unlike into a ke2x where you just need to trim the ends). The bearing face to drum hub face distance is all wrong due to narrower rear drum width on ke1x... and no, ke3x drum brake backing plates don't bolt on to the ke1x diff housing, stud pattern different. Plus you'd also have to play around with brake lines and handbrake cable.
  11. Wouldn't a setup like that lower the compression ? Or did you get the head shaved or the block decked ? And i'm just reading the supercharger as a maybe. Nope. Remember ACL 5k pistons are shallow dished and have about half the dish volume of the common stock 5k D-dished pistons.
  12. Unfortunately the accelerator pump plungers in newer carby kits have a plasticy rubber sort of seal on them. The originals seemed to be made of leather. You could maybe try stretching the seal to make it fit better or soak it in fuel for a few days and hope it expands.
  13. I've got about 20 rc cars, mainly older vintage ones. Really though they bore me these days, RC Planes are way faster, more fun and challenging. Currently putting together a Hotliner, a bit like this... Or this...
  14. Pretty sure 3k's have a shallower sump, so a 3k pump might sit a bit high above the floor of a 5k sump.
  15. Does it run a crank angle sensor? If so maybe check the rotor phasing.
  16. Both are jap diffs. Aussie Borg Warner diffs are NOT front loaders, and have an inspection plate at the rear of the diff housing. One would be an early 5.7" diff (std in jap-diffed ke1x and early ke2x) The other a 6" centre, which was std in jap-diffed late ke2x through ke3x models. The 5.7" and 6" refer to the ring gear diameter. The pinion flange is different between the two, but the end piece of the driveshaft can be changed over with a new uni joint to suit. I'm not sure why it won't fit in, maybe you are not holding your mouth right. :) For the record my 5k ke15 has a ke35 6" 4.33:1 centre in it atm, used to run a ke36 6" 4.55:1 centre previously when I had a 4k.
  17. I don't think rear belts were standard. My ke15 and ke16 have rear belts. My ke16 ones had some sort of aftermarket ones fitted as the screw in plates weren't welded to the car. I fitted the ones in my ke15 myself with plates of the required size (as per recommended by an engineer).
  18. First Gen for cool 60's style. 6th Gen for value for money, ease of getting parts and comfort.
  19. Starter motors are a pain with extractors. I found the easiest thing to do is to put a jack under the sump and remove the manifold side engine mount.
  20. :lmao: Kids these days have no sense of era, and have taste buds in their assholes. Do it Evan... You'll be whinging next about copping even more shit in the WGMG's thread.
  21. Unless you have some 60's car or a VW, you will just look like some tryhard faggot.
  22. People (Ben especially), I got the following screen/s in Firefox when I went to go to rollaclub. Also when I went to rollaclub through Internet Explorer my antivirus program (ESET Smart Security) is quarantining the following file: http://blamesllek.comBREAKLINK/folder/tmp/des.jar Reason: Multiple Threats. Has someone hacked the site and put in some malicious code? Maybe people may want to virus check their machines.
  23. Nitrous is Chemical Supercharging.
