  1. You might still be able to buy the individual parts (pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing) at Walkers to make up your own kit.
  2. ke2x has shifter position in same place as ke3/5x boxes. No idea if extension housings would swap over. Just thinking that with a lightweight flywheel and a heavier duty clutch, gearchanges may become more of a precise art.
  3. Have you got spare gearboxes for if you break the orig ke1x 4 speed? You should just put in a ke70 5 speed. Better shift position (I know you'd have to do something with your console), spare boxes easier to find, plus overdrive.
  4. Liking the E30 (minus rims).
  5. If you have a DCD, just try it. I'd hunt around for a 24-25mm primary venturi on your 4k. Once you get the jetting optimised they are set and forget carbs. Really cool the way you can change the idle and main jets in them without having to take the top off (you need a rag to soak up the fuel from the float bowl when doing the mains).
  6. Our '90 AE92 seca (4afc) sits on about 2900 at 100kays in 5th.
  7. It is on the carb and has a wire hanging off it. If you forget to plug it in the carb will not supply any fuel on the idle circuit.
  8. Nup. Just says Lynx and Corona on it. I have searched lynx listings and the only corona listing I have found says 1600cc. Also after posting I had a good look through the ACL gasket catalog, and yes it does look to be for a 2R going by the manifold gasket pictures. Anyway cheers guys. Was thinking of putting them up for sale soon, was just trying to get a definite fitment. Very nice clean setup that was rebuilt 12 years or so ago and has been sitting wrapped up ever since.
  9. Probably just the cannon to blame. Reverse flow mufflers are the way to go, don't even need a resonator.
  10. Actually it is a 34ADM. Got the ADF part mixed up from the 32ADFA I used to have. :P
  11. Didn't the carbed falcons have 34ADF's?
  12. How much does it owe you Taz? I'd be doing a conversion in anything later than a ke1x. Later cars all have plenty of room under the bonnet to take a bigger motor. Plus they are heavier so could do with a capacity upgrade to improve power to weight. Look at ford and their Escort, they had an optional 2L SOHC Xflow motor in the same sized car as the ke30's.
  13. Ouch! That would suck. I've said it before and I'll say it again. WGMG's is the cost of some parts locally. The power steering pump shat the front seal. Rang around for a second hand unit... Looking at $200 (or more) if you can find one, mine is a harder to find early one with hydraulic brake boost. Too scared to ring up BMW. Ended up getting a rebuild kit from the states for $45 AUD delivered to my door. :P
  14. Hey, got this SU carb setup and was wondering if anybody could help identify the exact motor/s it suits. It is a Lynx Corona manifold which I've had for 12 years or so now. Came from the brother-in-law who had an RT40 corona. 2R? 5R?
  15. Missus brought 6 bales of hay home in the back of the ke16 when it was on the road. LOL, we used to call it the Tardis, amazing how much stuff you could fit in such a little car.
  16. You only need one thread. Maybe look around for a 4k out of a Starlet. Not sure if you guys got the 5k's over there. Cool car. :P
  17. LOL, yea I figured you meant that after I made my post. I'll try jacking under the sills a bit next time. I guess the factory jack on one side and my small trolley jack on the other would get it up that first bit to allow me to swing the handle of my larger trolley jack. The car has massive rear overhang. Mine doesn't have the discs on the sills like you see on the later cars. Didn't notice the pads under the car, will have to have a look.
  18. I thought the thread title was "HOW MANY TOYOTAS HAVE YOU OWNED??".
  19. That's where the car stands go. I wouldn't feel comfortable under the car unless it is supported by at least pair of decent carstands and a jack. Need to get one of those big mofo low profile jacks.
  20. Freaking tight bolts. :P Changing the dogbones on my E32, one of the bolts was off the scale on my torque wrench (reads to 150 foot/pounds) and still wasn't budging. Luckily I remembered I had a 4 foot long piece of pipe floating around. Slipped it over a breaker bar and it undid, but was still tight. Whew! Also jacking up my E32, what a pain in the ass. The car is so low that there was only like 2 inches between the jack handle (fully down) and the fuel tank. Prick of a thing to jack up the rear of the car.
  21. ke30 2 door sedan x 2 ke20 ke15 ke10 x 3 ke16 ke25 ae92 sedan (actually a holden nova) ae92 seca
  22. Adjust your valve clearances (for all cyls) first, before you compression test it. Should compression test all cyls.
