  1. You do know why they call it XXXX?...... Cause they can't write "SHIT" on the can.
  2. How big is the compressor?
  3. Just use the original ke10 engine mounts. The later ke30 onwards ones are taller.
  4. Recently put Pedders front springs in the front of my E32 BMW. Lowered it nicely (about an inch and a half), they are slightly stiffer than stock. Happy as with them, still has a nice comfy ride, even less body roll (not much to start with) and zero nose dive under brakes. Put even more sport into my sports limo... Had Kings Lows in the front of my old EH wagon. They weren't to bad.
  5. :lolcry: Not good. Our bank handled the first home owners grant for us and put the grant towards the deposit. Our solicitors were great, basically we sat back and they organised everything for us. The real estate agents however were pricks... we had a few issues up front, but our solicitors sorted them out. altezzaclub, you already had 2 investment properties? No wonder they wouldn't give you the first home owners grant.
  6. Yep, settled 2 weeks ago. The banks charges weren't that bad, mainly mortgage insurance, which anyone would have to pay. Conveyancing/legals was a LOT less than we expected, under 2 grand. Real estate agents take their percentage cut no matter how much a house costs, 1st home owners grant or not. The 1st home owners grant, plus the NIL stamp duty made buying a house surprisingly easy, should have done it 18 months ago... Probably saved 20 grand compared to someone buying a second house/investment property. Didn't tick me off, but made me smirk at how off based/uninformed your statement was. :lolcry:
  7. Nah, you'll be right, buy a Diesel Toyota Prado which is on the approved vehicle list. :jamie: To be eligible for the payout, old-car owners must purchase a new car that has a greenhouse rating of at least six out of 10 on the government's Green Vehicle Guide website.
  8. I didn't realise the government already had run the scheme. I have seen in the past car dealerships offering $2000 minimum trade-ins.
  9. Looks like if Labour wins the next election we could see a Cash for Clunkers scheme in Australia. Say good bye bye to a lot of older Corollas out there. $2000 to trade back your old car and buy a newer more efficient car. Not very generous, think the yanks were offering US$4500 per car. Julia Gillard unveils a cash for clunkers policy to get dirtier old cars off the road Why cash-for-clunkers didn't hit the road until now
  10. From the rules that You have agreed to: Feel free to readvertise in a couple of days. :)

  12. Hmm, so what was the question? Yes I've used a narrowband with the jaycar/DSE FMD kit to good effect for tuning carbs. Sorry but I've just bought a house and am in the process of packing and moving, plus had a heap on at work, so otherwise distracted atm.
  13. Put some decent tyres on it. What type of tyres (and size) are you currently running?
  14. The kit I used was an older Jaycar/DSE narrowband FMD kit (DSE was the one I used). I got an M18x1.5 nut and ground it to suit the outside of the exhaust after the extractors. Got it drilled and welded for a 6 pack. Used a second hand EB falcon heated 3 wire o2 sensor.
  15. Maybe he means that seeing as carbs are an analog device, and the motor is not boosted, a wideband is not a necessity. I put a narrowband in my ke15 with one of those Jaycar FMD's. Cost... $100 all up (about 6 years ago). Shitloads better than stumbling in the dark. The numbers may not be exact, but you have a definite guide as to which way your tuning changes are going. Once you have it set up it is a simple task to upgrade to a wideband o2 sensor and to fit the wideband controller. Anyway, personally I'm thinking of getting one of those LM-2 Kits at a later stage.
  16. Might just be better off buying one that already has powersteering.
  17. slightly lowered.
  18. Get your lifters refaced.
  19. Worn needle and seat.
  20. Single hex sockets all the way. Double hex sockets can be handy at times, but are notorious for rounding off nuts/bolt heads. Metrinch are supposedly good, put all the stress on the flats of the nuts/bolt heads and not the corners.
  21. Your motor is a carbed 4AFC. It doesn't have an oxygen sensor like the fuel injected 4AFE motors do.
  22. Keep the steering wheel period correct. Newer styled wheels look like you are trying to hard and can't afford an excel/lancer/whatever poxy piece of shit the kids are ricing these days.
  23. sounds so wangsta. :)
  24. :hmm: Suckered! :blinks:
