Its running way to rich at idle and wouldn't run. I'm not going to say how i did it yet because i don't think I've solved the issue but at least i can move the car around.

IT IDLES. Just need to smooth the idle out and its drivable.

If its an old master cylinder you have probably disturbed corrosion in the bore by bleeding it. They don't have a booster to help the braking effort. Check for glazed drums and linings but even then it should still stop better than what you have described. When bleeding older cars either gravity bleed or only push the pedal half way down.

Unna. can't you read :P I use to have an EBII 5 speed S pak wagon. Best mod to that i did was thermofan conversion. Bit more poke and ran quieter.

When i put the 4ac suitable jets back in and try its the same. Doesn't idle but drives OK. Going to try the reg tomorrow. Trev tune it for me!

A mate has an injected 304 V8 cheap :hmm: Would be a tight fit and the Paj 5 speed would die on start up. Will have another tinker tomorrow.

Running a return, Dunno but its worth a try otherwise I'm going to burn it.

Fuel pressure just popped in my head, I'm running the 32/36 straight off the mechanical fuel pump. The Paj book says they can run up to 13psi so i might drop a regulator in tomorrow arvo and wind it down to 3 or 4 psi.

Does it have the same bolt pattern as a 32/36 ? and whats it jetted for ? If i do swap this one will come with jets to suit a 4ac so it should run ok on a 5k.

Hey Hey, I have a 32/36 weber on my Pajero. SAeeing as some folk here like these carbies i'll ask here.It wont idle properly. Idles at 200 - 300rpm. No vac leaks i can find. Drives well, cruises well. Dies when i add start ya bastard. Runs better when i cover fuel bowl vents but still not 100%. New kit put through, new needle and seat. To get it to idle i have turn the mixture screw out nearly 10 turns and crack the primary butterfly which is very wrong. Idles shit aswell. I'm not expecting a miracle answer but suggestions.

If you push the clutch in and it stops vibrating its something RPM related not road speed, So engine or gearbox. Most likely. Does it do when you have selected 3rd between 60 and 100 or when you select 5th or only 4th ? If its only 4th gear there maybe a bearing issue inside the gearbox.

I can't bring myself to buy any new Ford. Seeing them come through work for issues new cars shouldn't have put me off big time. But i suppose Ford isn't the only company who can't engineer a decent car anymore. A new off the shelf cat and pipe for a FG is just over $1000. Exploder cats $4,500+ Ford parts rape you just as bad just depends if the parts bloke likes you or not.

Ford use acronyms in their repair manuals. The amount of times an acronym is used is unbelievable but if they didn't the already 4 inch thick book would probably be another inch thick.
