  8. dan, uneven high will effect braking (and possibly tyre wear) i had unevenly cut springs in the front of my bus and one wheel would lock before the other becuase it had more weight on it. would a bit different being your bus tho cause mine was super dropped before and stiff as fark (fronts where 165mm free hight and about 10kg)

FWD ones go under the sump. yes redline only make FWD ones, i enquired months ago about them. no one makes them anymore... they used to in the states but not now. get some custom made if you really want to. but one question you should ask is A) do you intend on keeping a 4ac forever or do you intend on getting a 4ag later down the track? B) what sort of driving and what other modifications have you done or intend to do? a decent 2" exhaust will make a good bit of difference, removing or even jamming open the butterfly in the stock exhaust manifold will provide a noticeable increase. extractors may add a little extra but not huge. my opinion is if you revving it high and looking for some real grunt then it maybe worth getting a GOOD set or tuned length ones made but your looking at bigger dollars. otherwise getting a half arsed set that some monkey has made up wont be much better then the stock manifold. money could probaly be better spent else where IMO.
  12. valve springs should be fine if your staying within the standard rev limit. as you may have already found 20v's do tend to lack bottom end grunt, a short diff ratio/smaller tyre diameter would help keep revs up. i would have thought and in my experience that i don't use the bottom end revs (below 4,000) at all on hill climbs or the power dies. i am running a 290degree cam tho :hmm: but its great fun
  13. try driving a little slower, motor would be under a fair bit of load! get some radiator flush, and full with a good coolant... my ke70 used to over heat if i held it flat out on the highway at like 2am. oh and i made it from one end of tassie to the other with a 4ac on 3 cyl and a bad exhaust leak and a problem with the carb. couldnt get up a hill in a residential area even when smashing it back to 1st... reversed back down the hill and got a bit run up. surprisingly on the highway i managed to get it upto 160 haha

I'm having this problem, or something similar to it... when its cold if you try and drive it will pop back threw the carb, and will contine to do it if you contine to attempt to drive.. after about 3-4mins its drivable, but is alyways jerky under light throttle and kinda cursing sort if throttle. could very well be two different problems carb is 32/36 weber and motor is 4ac replaced a heap of shit a while back, and converted to electronic dizzy, had a huge spark (would arc a strong blue colour prob 4mm or more, with the old points it would struggle to do maybe 1.5-2mm and was a dull orange). but will check it all as i havent since i put the last motor in prob 12months ago lol

  16. geez you guys need to get some $35 ferodo zero pads :P i didnt have any brake fade at all but i wasnt using them that much.. with std ke brakes too. sturgy yours has sprinter struts/brakes in it from factory yeah? no excuse :P

  22. yeah scott told me. motor was replaced by the next owner cause the dodgy one was stuffed lol. i found some other dodgy shit on the car tho, like 3 tailshaft bolts done finger tight :hammer: oh an a fuse bypassed and a bit of wire just jammed in the front for the tape deck haha.
