  1. also there was that ae71 for sale in hobart with a half done 2jzge converson.. i think it was for sale on boost for about 2-2.5k
  2. is it going to be road registered? engineered? i can help with brakes/susy! they can be made to handle but you will loose that natural balance that they have because you will be adding extra weight and moving it forward.. "AZZ customs" in hobart should be able to help out with fabrication work. engine mounts, gearbox mounts, exhaust, tunnle mods. i maybe able to help out with the F series diff.. maybe you should weigh up the 6cyl that you have in mind against say an sr20, ca18, 3s, 13b etc. or even a 3tgte which would be a very easy conversion..
  3. hi mookie. what work exactly do you want doing?
  4. my 4a kee70 is for sale at the mo http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=26654
  5. budowski- ahhh nah havent touched the front bar, still have to put the garden edging front lip on :y: want to get a proper lip for it tho, top stage i think they are.. yes was defected for hight, tyres cause they had camber wear, and oil leaks... the chassis rails where fine they where 110mm but the exhaust was about 65-70mm. put taller 6kg springs in the front and some 15x6 with 205/60 on the back with 44psi all around to give me enough clearance. didnt pass the first inspection due to hight, wiper blades, number plate and reverse lights not working, handbrake not locking (removed spring for drift mod) and a split steering boot. fix it all, it still a bit high. will put my new struts together soon and grab some pads so ill have decent front springs (will need chopping a bit) good shorter shocks and much bigger sprinter brakes. also removed harness and bucket seat for roadworthy and re-fitted the nardi. appart from the grease marks on the seats it almost looks respectable on the inside. i think ive found someone who makes 4ac extractors, so I'm waiting on confirmation and a price. so maybe getting MORE power soon mwahahah. next up will be the brakes/susy, then some tyres, maybe some bodywork/paint. sidedrafts and extractors with new exhaust. t-series, disk rear, TRD LSD, FC front brake upgrade. half/full cage fixed back seats, then 4ag update upgraded to a 180sx aluminium radiator with custom fitting!
  6. i have some 13x7 superlights (the older big dish style) have full slicks on them. brought them for a ke70 only to find that they where 4x110 PM me if your interested.
  7. apparently he can't due to p'plate laws.. it doesnt make sence to me really. darn it, buy an ae71 and put the flat front on it! 18mm little end isnt exactly a weak link, the weak link is the 4k for a performance build! wouldnt the efi me classed as a modification? why not just go a bit over sized with hi comp? wouldnt be so iffy with strengths.
  8. well what sort of carb/s would you be running?? i say spend your dosh on susy, wheels etc.. you can make them a lot faster by adding susy as you don't haev to slow down as much ;). add to the a t-series and lsd. then you could start collecting parts for a 4ag conversion.. by then you would prob be near off your P's.. or as you said buy a s13 if you so keen on them lol.
  9. that PV looks a tad ghetto :D
  10. spotto some kent put a A J P S business car under my wiper..????
  11. still on the lookout for a corona guys.. pref rt142 (the EFI model) or st141/rt141 no motor required or doesnt matter if its blown. needed for engine conversion
  12. well if it fired even for half a second then you must have spark... id be looking into the fuel side of things.
  13. you could check that the injectors are getting a pulse signal with your trusty test light. but id be guessing that it would be more along the lines of the weak spark issue. do you know if the ecu controls only the fuel? also you are using a electronic coil not the old points one? also you don't sue the balast resistor with the electronic one. also check the rotor button and cap for bad wear damage etc, wouldn't hurt to clean the contacts too with a clean rag. 4ag's had built in voltage reg's (may be safe to say that another efi motor at around the same era may also have built-in). if it was me id use the 2tgue altenator. plus it will be plug in!
  14. not only is the filter above the motor but its directly behind the raidator and fan....
  15. the clip? i just tapped it out with a screw driver and hammer, but should be able to do that with just a screw driver. ive never had to disconnect a brake hose to take the calliper off....? ke70, t-18 and sprinter, can all be taken off without taking the brake line off.
  16. before i got my tacho dash i had a smaller one with a little shift light tucked under the dash infront of the clock. the light does come in handy when you have a helmet on as you can't hear the revs as much and you don't exactly wanna be lookin down to see how many squilions of revs its doin..
  17. nice as, guy in the gtr looked fairly quick (or maybe simons runs make him look quick jokes :P )
  18. Vehicle: VL Commodore sedan red 6cyl manual rego EC 2293 17" alloy wheels Monza front seats leather sports steering wheel lowered on Kings superlow springs Tools: Kincrome 9 draw tool chest contents include most spanners, sockets, ratchets, allen keys etc... 19. f@$ken hell, that aint right.. yes its good to have both sides bolted down! another option would be to use a normal type nut do it up tight then screw the wing nut ontop. make sure that it is infact running on all cylinders. also if its idling very low it will shake idle should be about 800-900rpm.
  20. yeah i figured the right one makes more noise... but have to keep it between 4-7000... which 2nd gear prob a bit high and 1st obviously a little low. loves the clutchuuuu
  21. my bad  ill prob head to the skids day a tarmac one wouldnt be too bad though, maybe with an lsd, still my car sucks at low revs lol EDIT: i make no sense
  22. isnt there a drift day on the 6th???
  23. no prob dude, glad i could help
  24. paint the standard ones with chrome effects paint from supercheap hahaha!
  25. SR20 is going to be a lot more reliable than 4AGTE you will most probaly find a standard SR20 (even non turb) will give it a fair bit of zing. don't forget light cars like this don't need any where as much power to move them as say your big boat spec VL..
