  1. hehe toyota usually don't start their numbers from 0. so its unlikely its the 20,000th ones
  2. yes i will keep everyone posted. unfortunatly the car will be based at the other end of the country from me, but depending on how things go with the wrx i may jump teams :)
  3. worth looking into. 8600rpm eh. thats a lot we'll have to wait til it goes on a dyno, as i speak the car hasnt even been purchased yet.... but when/if it goes ahead, i intend to get righ in amoungst it! :) the thing with the 2zzge is, its new. not many people can afford to play with new engines
  4. they go very well. but i can't/wont get to drive one! for one thing i can't fit in the cars  i know someone looking at running one as a rally car, so ill know more about how they go with a motec then, their plan isto bring the vvti in earlier and make it less peaky. they really could do with another 1500rpm in the powerband. motecs can handle vvt no problems. setting it up could take some dyno time though! runnx/allex are JDM imports. the GT however was a SA car.
  5. bahhaha sucks on a lappy! took 4 goes to get into the 14s
  6. yep thats me :) those engines are stock, they are just blueprinted and run with a motec. they lap pukekohe faster than a V8 super car. iv driven a NZ new GT and a few runnx and allexs, and i don't know what you guys are complaining about. never had any issues with the box.
  7. sorry email notification off here is rather random sollit IS NOT the asia pacific rep he is some guy who pararell imports it and sells it out the back door of his house! he doesnt even have a retail shop..... :) he can't beat my prices :D did you read my post? we use the 2zzge here in the TRS. link above
  8. yeah looks the idle bypass valve, they are notoriuos for crapping out
  9. did that first one even touch the brakes?! omg people are so thick
  10. just send me ya credit card and ill hook you up with: JISM theres a guy over here by the name of lynn rodgers who knows there VERY well he built the Toyota Racing Series engines I'm hoping to have a bit to do with him later next year.....
  11. try fitting a radial in ya ke## :P
  12. um thats 11.7 kays per litre.. thats VERY good
  13. it would take some serious coin to get that much power from any k series. and i mean SERIOUS
  14. all fuel except challenge is the same here.... no matter what brand! just a few different aditives so makes no difference to us
  15. mmm perana mmmmm all good if you live in south africa.... personally a broadspeed bullit would be my pick, if i couldnt have a colonge capri (3400cc quad cam v6 :(( )
  16. ah yep it would :(( the european capris used the essex v6 untill the mk3 (german versions used the cologne from the begining) the essex wasnt even close to meeting the USA emissions laws. the only english capri to use the colonge v6 (untill the mk3) was the rs2600 whicj was fuel injected and so sexy i want have sex with it capris are cool :blinks:
  17. oh yeah.... jamie no idea what your capris used (but I'm sure they were the same as ours) but ours and the english ones used the 38dgas. all the essex v6s used dgas carbs. the american ones used a holly5200/weber but they were a totally different engine than ours. they used versions of the colonge v6. the escorts (mk1) used 32 dgvs, 32dgav, 28/30dgv and 32df guess who found his weber manual :) :P
  18. surely theres some markings... every weber iv seen has had choke sizes on it and the model on the bottom flange
  19. didnt the gotina use a 32dgav? or was that the 3ltr capri? i forget, but its definitly not a capri v6 one, and it doest look like a cortina one to me, although I'm very proud to say i havnt looked under the bonnet of a cortina in many years :)
  20. i like having transveres mounted engine. also the 4ages have a not to bad baffle as stock.
