for a budget rear end, id go a KE70 rear, and put KE3/5x spring hangers on the axle housings. so you keep the leaf springs. replicate the upper control arm points off the KE70 but place them to suit the front leaf spring mounts to get the pinion angles you will need, then make a panhard rod setup to suit.

clutch and diff were typical nissan bulletproof.. the brakes and oil temps turned out to be the weakness's :)

i was also there in a grey R32 GTR, and a few mates in a turbo galant, and a HJ kingy. was flat out so didnt get a chance to talk to anyone from rollaclub/SAU etc :( awesome day. stu you should stop being a nanna and bring something up there :)

oi! i aint no newb! easy mistake to make, even though the bigports have blue and black writing on the valve covers they are commonly refered to as a bluetop! i could have assumed it was a blacktop beams i guess.. i woulda been down there even quicker if it was a beams in it!

(sorry no skid pics, I'm sure theres some floating around but never got em) and probably the car i most miss, my old VK regal. was a slug.. but awesome. will buy it back one day! went to pick a part campbelfield today.. theres a 4x4 hilux with front brakes still attached if anyones after the calipers for a conversion also an MA70 with the rear brakes untouched (people use em for hilux disc conversions) and for the ford owners, theres an XG ute with T5 5 speed. just missing the shifter as far as I'm aware. at centre road that ke20 is fairly untouched. the front gaurds and doors are definately salvagable with a bit of work

if hugh couldnt get ya out, someone could have called me and i would have happily turned around and got ya out. i kinda feel bad about it acutally. i promised myself i wouldnt try to keep up with everyone and just cruise out the back.. but alas the red mist got me again :hmm:

historic rego - they send the plates from head office. mick. we have unreg vehicle permits, but its only for roadworthy work of one off trips (not round trips to warnabool etc)

jarrad.. did you end up getting the rolla rego'd? i rego'd mine today, and they said they send the plates out, which means I'm shit outta luck!

weight is a massive factor on low powered hire karts.. hence i never do any good :(
