  1. hey mate, here is that photo i mentioned on sunday about the clutch line. that banjo bolt was like 6 bucks i think, nice and cheap, i can't remember the details of it, better of taking the clutch slave down with you to the hydraulics shop etc.
  2. very nicely done, some people would pay more than that for a standard T series!
  3. haha nice photos! good photo of me in photo number 1... as trev said..... Rollaclub cruise, subaru leading, followed by a ford, then a toyota, followed by a nissan powered toyota. with a nissan ute, another falcon, 4wd surf, and a late model corolla wagon! who said rollaclub isnt diverse!
  4. thats cool as, love the colour of the car! whats with the extractors only have 3 pipes? or am i missing something? or do the 3 inner cylinders share an exhaust port?
  5. Hope all is well buzzbub, it was a pretty fun day! I think yesterday was good evidence that you don't need a fancy done up car to enjoy yourself on a cruise! everyone seemed to enjoy the drive, and we had good fun at the meeting spots just chattin about cars, the way cruises are supposed to be! Il'l have to bring my petrol RC car along next time and join in. was good to see the rain stay away untill the home stretch, and i reckon the rain kept away the cyclists! I hope i wasnt going too slow for some of you, i figured if nisrola wasnt right up my tail i was doing alright! Very impressed with the blokes that drove up from warrick, thats commitment! definately another one just like it the future, ill get my butt into gear and get a BBQ that works this time.
  6. Yep Apple pies it is. Cyas at 9 at bp.
  7. Hmmm so the bbq is stuffed...
  8. to be honest, i prolly not tooooo keen if its raining or even wet roads, recipe for disaster really. does buzzbub want to make the executive decision? at this stage i have acquired a small butane powered stove, and i will buy a packet of sausages and some bread on the way.
  9. blzbub666: if you can let me know how many people are coming, ill grab some foods. I can probably get my house mates portable bbq too. nothing special, cheap sausages, and a few loaves of bread and some sauce. BYO drinks.
  10. i like it. lovely looking engine bay. neat and tidy. except that one single red wire, do something with that will ya? :P
  11. sorry mate forgot to reply... T series came in Toyota T18s, and a few celicas, the celicas are listed in here: http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/26777-axles-t18-diff.html S series diffs, came in the australian delivered ae86's.
  12. There is ALOT more skill involved, in fitting awesome looking wheels, whilst retaining wheel alignment adjustability and not allowing the wheels to hit the guards under any circumstance. These are the kind of people that also buy expensive tyres, and actually want to grip to the road, and don't want to ruin their expensive tyres. Fitting wheels to a car, by adding -10deg camber, using a tyre that is 60% the width of the rim, bashing the guards and ruining the paint, having them scrub on the guards when they run over an ant, or turn more than 70% lock. buying the cheapest china tyres they can because they know they will get epic camber wear and have them chewed out by their guards. That's for the morons
  13. i has Awd:D
  14. A J P S in adelaide will supply you springs. or if you don't want to pay the premium price, just get some king springs. either off the shelf items, or custom made to any height, length, ID you want. under 200 for 2 springs custom made in about 1-2 weeks.

no dramas, nothing wrong with purchasing parts over time. i spent abotu 2yrs buying parts before i put the engine in. my parents hated me filling the garage:P yep normally the hydraulic line comes straight out of the clutch slave, and with ADM t50, this goes directly into the extractors. on my car, i had the factory ae86 exhaust headers, which came damn close to the clutch slave. so i had to use that banjo plug else the clutch line would foul on the exhaust. any hydraulic shop can supply it, that whole line and banjo bolt was about 60bucks i think. braided too and ADR compliant too. those dodgy "TRD copy" extractors are even worse, my mates 86 had this, and even with the banjo plug it was pretty much touching it, i think we put some sort of shield on the extractors to stop the clutch fluid boiling! see if you can pickup a set of the 4-2-1 cast factory ae86 headers + steel secondaries, much better than the cheap 4-1 aftermarket things. and people tend to throw out the 4-2-1's for bugger all, i got mine for 20 bucks!

nah youll be right, just be careful... its just pipe after all, it was bent by someone to get it how it is now... no heat required....think big radius bends, don't try and bend it in a 5mm radius. what sort of extractors are you going to use? and do you have an ADM T50? ie is the clutch slave on same side as the exhaust? if so you will need a banjo fitting into the clutch slave master. here is one i prepared earlier: (about 4yrs earlier) http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u166/ke70dave/clutchslave.jpg

just bend the clutch line to suit. i think i got a clutch line off an old celica for my T50 + ke70, just bent it to where it should be. becareful you don't kink it and you'll be fine. throw out the soft line bit, get a new one made, under 50bucks from a hydraulic shop.
  19. brilliant! on dog funnies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO-phqmyqdY
  20. have we all got ourselves organised for this weekend? i put in a set of QFM brake pads yesty, along with some penrite SIN brake fluid. no brake fade for me this time!
  21. ahh a rotary hater... even the 1.6 would be very fun. can't be very safe though with the open top, i think id want a roll bar at the least. perhaps we are getting off topic...
  22. I'm seriously thinking about buying a ~1990 MX5......with a small modification to the gearbox input shaft...a rotary bolts to their gearbox.
  23. didnt you have a thread about this already? do you have 12V on one side of the injector? that is switched from the ignition (big orange/red wire, that also powers up the Coil, and a few other things) if so, make sure all the grounds in the loom are connected to ground. there is a ground on the inlet manifold i belive. http://www.club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/ECU%20Japan%20AE86%204A-GE.htm above is the pin out for the ecu. the way i belive that it works, 6 E02 Brown Engine cylinder head earth point ECU Earth is ground, and the ecu switches this with: 7 #20 Blue All Four Fuel Injectors Fuel injector trigger signal to give a grounded injector pulse to all 4 of the injectors. to be honest there isnt alot we can help you with over the internet, all the wiring diagrams are out there you just need to study them and figure out how it all works.
  24. the engine looks ok...12.5 compresion ratio, direct injection, 200hp or so in N/A....so that doesnt sound too bad. so i suspect its got a metric crapload of emissions garbage. It would be a pretty awesome starting base for mods i reckon. The boxer style engine doesnt seem to bad after owning one for a few months now, but id never want to do serious work on one unless it was out of the car.....nice packaging though to keep the engine lower in the car. i wonder how much it is like the subaru engines, like every subaru engine is somewhat interchangable (4clr petrol anyway). or has toyota changed it up considerably... the photos of the car in stocko form, seem to show the rear guards being way over sized for the wheels, almsot a bit...bloated....but thats the new style i suppose. exhibit A: http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/NFS/speedhunters.com/Images/Dino%20Dalle%20Carbonare/2011/NOV2011/T86-Preview/AY0F2840.jpg there is a photo getting around of the car on BBS wheels that makes it look alot better..... exhibit B: http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/NFS/speedhunters.com/Images/Dino%20Dalle%20Carbonare/2011/NOV2011/T86-3/AY0F2805.jpg
