lookin good dude. i see that nardi wheel in there. how you find the wheel? all good?
-
my goodness i hate the term "gramdma spec"!!!!! the others are right, due to the current laws in QLD, your legal modification allowables are somewhat limited. lower + wheels (with good tyres) + a nice CD player is what i would do. new shocks all round while you are at it. (not upgraded or anything, just new ones) remote central locking and an alarm (chirp - lock, chirp chirp - unlock) always gets looks on old cars;) also, i never crashed when i was on my p plates!

i have used my differential as a lathe before, to aid in wheel polishing. i only did the lip on my SSR mesh's, not the whole wheel.... worked surprisingly well! i just had a stack of wet and dry sand paper (400 up to 2000, maybe 5 different grades in the middle). started low, ended high. worked fantastic. few chocks at the front wheels, i only used 1st gear though...4th might be a bit crazy.... however i should have clear coated the alloy lip, as now its oxodised...and needs to be done again!

ah yeah i see now. I've seen that before on your site. Good idea. Though i guess it makes the uni joint work a little bit harder. I had visions of spacer plate between the gearbox and the engine...not sure why.
-
i see it around fairly often, usually in specialty lolly shops, ones that sell all the overseas lollies. if i recall correctly there is a lolly shop in central train station in Brisbane, that sells doctor pepper by the carton. as for the taste itself....its interesting, i wouldn't choose to buy it, but when my brother used to have it, i had no hesitation in stealing a can from his stash. my mate dan can drink the stuff by the galon. If there are any "it crowd" fans out there, it reminds me of the drink "chuke" that roy gets addicted to.

"T50 gearbox spacer plate- if you run a heater" whats this for? ----- ive started filling in the "how to put a 4age into your ke70" in the FAQ, its in its early stages...my html skills are somewhat limited! but 4age into ke70 has got to be the most documented conversion on the internet!
-
i had 15x6+25odd...hit the struts. search through members rides, there are heaps of people with ke70s....with wheels on them.

yeah she was living at the parents home, bed ridden, i think it sais she has some sort of disability. i think this should work.... http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/woman-27-died-weighing-11kg-in-the-adelaide-home-of-her-parents/story-fn7x8me2-1226035817252 i can't actually access it from work, but fairly sure that link will be correct. if not give it a google.

header over to AE86DC, saw a thread yesterday who had obvisly been watching F1. has created this huge rears spoiler for his ke70 that changes angle based on weather he is braking or not! reckons he can feel the difference on the track.

sam, if everyone thought logically about things, who is going to make things like this: http://www.supersteeze.com/wp-content/gallery/jay-leno/jay-lenos-tank-car1.jpg agree an rb20 is not a logical choice to put in a ke20. i think the engine in that tank car is a much logical choice.
-
depends how crazy you want to go with the install. new transmission tunnel, a HUGE one, bring the engine back so that half of it is behind where the windscreen meets the bonnet. hope that the spark plugs don't need changing any time soon. then it will prolly handle ok!

i just read the news, one of the stories, 1) a 27yr old lady died weighing just 11kg, parents apparently up on charges for malnutrition, neglect, manslaughter. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? It makes me feel physically ill reading about this kind of thing. how can 2 people who have been blessed with a child, do such awful things to them over a number of years? the link for those playing at home: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/woman-27-died-weighing-11kg-in-the-adelaide-home-of-her-parents/story-fn7x8me2-1226035817252

Whats The Most You'Ve Ever Seen A K-Series Pull?
ke70dave replied to YLD 10S's topic in Automotive Discussion
have a read around about "TRD ke70" and "TRD" 's old rally ke70 with their k motor. 160odd HP apparently. i think its on youtube under "ke70 TRD" or something. -
i think agius is on the money. borgy diffs have plate on the back of them, where as jap diffs have no plate, and you can take the "nose" of the diff out with the centre and gearset attached, like in this pic http://www.rollaclub.com/board/uploads/monthly_02_2008/post-5294-1204181645_thumb.jpg

that sensor will just be an intake temperature sensor. i reckon if you are going to go the pod option you could just insert the sensor anywhere in the intake track. whats more important than the filter itself, is making sure that it is sucking cold air. mount the pod low behind your bumper, and run a new pipe upto the engine, ensuring that if you go through a huge puddle, the filter wont get wet! engines love cold air. if you just replace airbox with pod, it may sound better, but it may not go any better if it is just sucking hot engine bay air!

i answered this in your last thread mate. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/49714-ae86-or-s13/ post number #4 "before anyone sais "s13 gives to much track" this is EASILY fixed by BOLT IN R31 LCA's, brings the track back to about 10mm over stock (Same as the much loved xt130 arms). i have personally done it on my mates ae86, works great at bringing the wheels back into check. "

i can't help you with the head shaving question.. but dig through this http://www.billzilla.org/4agstock2.htm that website has an unbeliveable amount of information. read it all! conrod bearing size changes between bigport and smallport (40mm vs 42mm). i can't comment on the camshafts, check catalogues etc. see if they specifiy different ones? contact suppliers of camshafts and see what they say.

most expensive maybe the best, but you don't need the best to get the features you need for the 4age. have a look at the new haltech sprint range, i think the base model is under 1000bucks. from what i could see that had everything you need. also look into the gready emanage ultimate ($700ish i belive). that is a fantastic piggy back ecu. but its a bit more than a piggy back ecu, has some very good features. When the mods on my s15 require it ill be getting one of these, reliability and driveability of the standard ecu, with the ability to change everything through that emanage!
-
very nice mate. love the colour.
-
the big tip on efi engines: if you change anything on the engine that changes the amount of power you are making (ie the amount of air into the engine) you NEED a programable ecu. people will say "oh i ran 272's on a stock ecu fine", sure it might have run, but if you are only getting a 10hp increase when if you were using an aftermarket ecu with a GOOD tune you could be getting an extra 20hp. why bother with the standard ecu with an $800 pair of uprated camshafts if you arent going to use them to the full potential?
-
my suggestion is buy one that is already done up...and then spend time and a bit of cash cleaning it up (if required) stocko ADM might cost you 3000, modified may cost you 5000. But it has 4000 worth of parts on it. I know its good to build your own (i have done the same) but its just not economically viable!

google took me here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/43703-flairing-guards-ke70/ and a link in there took me here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/29887-tech-articlehow-to-flare-front-guards/ munji mods is the guy to talk to about flaring guards.

smallport 4age's are up around the 10.3:1 compression mark already. this is a pretty good write up on the ol 4age. http://www.billzilla.org/4agmods.htm

get some carby cleaner, go nuts. maybe the idle jet/circuit (whatever controls the idle in a carby...) is blocked etc. least then you know everything is clean to start with. does it drive fine?
-
yeah but in standard form that is a 50% increase!
