  1. i think that orange thing needs more than flares! needs like another car, cut in half, and each half attached to the side of the orange car.
  2. when i went to the radiator shop the guy said my standard ke70 radiator (copper, twin row) was alot better than the radiator i was asking about (something late model, alloy core, plastic ends, wide but single row) and there is a reason a brand new ke70 radiator costs alot more than the majority of the newer radiators. copper > alloy/plastic. sure a monster all alloy radiator is probably better, but yeah as little red sais, no way you will need it. a standard ae71 radiator is keeping my 16V cool. and plenty of people run 4agte's on standard radiators.
  3. just go through the members ride and see what others have put on. i tried 14x8 zero (185/60 tyres) on rear of my ke70, don't know what everyone else considers "fits fine" but it scrubbed to all buggery on "slightly rolled" guards. (lip rolled up, no physical change to painted part of guard, ie outside) car was pretty low, just above legal height. 15x7+13 fits good all round, no scrubbing at zero cambers. note:don't design your suspension settings around your wheels. if your wheels do no fit with the suspension settings you want to run, the wheels don't fit. ie, if you have to run -10 deg camber to make the wheels fit, the wheels don't fit.
  4. the angle you are refering to is the king pin inclination. but you don't want to go stuffing with that. sounds to me that the wheels just don't fit the car. just because something is free doesn't mean you should use it! (i have to keep telling myself this...)
  5. WGMG: Sam Simmons off triple J. (and other stuff) He has got to be the most annoying radio show host i have ever heard. http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/people/sam_simmons.htm that stupid segment he has ...."sh*tty trivia" or something, SO ANNOYING. most of the radio hosts on that station are pretty good though.
  6. i don't understand how you are going to use these ford shocks? since ke's use a shock insert inside the shock tube/body. and the shock tube/body is attached to your stubb axel... i had dramas with the ke70 standard front end trying to fit 15x7 + 20, hit the strut as well. quite annoying.
  7. because everyone knows if you buy a drift button you earn 26 extra drift points for every drift!!! but seriously, a stocko 3tc isnt going to be a drift king. its the same basic steps for setting up car to be controllable sideways as discussed in the previous 5 pages. big spring rates, big sway bars (maybe not as big at the front), good shocks, extra lock, locked diff or LSD, and a bucket seat to hold you in. heaps of front castor, good front tyres, enough height in the car so it doesn't scrape.' and most of all plenty of practise. in fact, forget about buying parts, get out on a track and have fun. and if its not drifting good enough, go faster.
  8. ive seen this around on the forums too. looks the goods. 10.9 is quite impressive. i guess the question that i have to ask is how does it handle with the big 6 up front? also whats that button on the steering wheel? ejection seat?
  9. i bought that same pod for my 4k carby. from memory it doesnt actually fit on the carby, i had to make up a spacer to go between the carby and the pod. not sure what you have done keto 82. looks like a good start though. i do like that light blue color.
  10. OP = original poster ie: mr spencer
  11. nah if its only out by 1 tooth it can still run fine, just it will sound different. i was out by 1 tooth on each cam on the 4age, so a fair bit, and it still ran. needless to say it ran alot better once i fixed it up! I'm not saying this is the problem, but something to consider perhaps.
  12. has anyone ever stuffed with the cam timing? maybe the cam timing is out? if you have checked all of things you have said, might have to start looking at fundamental problems. i had my 4age cam timing out for a few months, i thought the epic induction roar was normal.
  13. i got done for my nardi classic steering wheel. 1 point, $130. He wasn't interested in my non mod plated (at the time) recaro bucket seat, or 4age (which was mod plated), or how low the car was (it was *just* legal height)....only the nardi. He Didn't even check the tyres for crying out loud, i got the impression that once he found something that was enough, didn't need to go look any further. agreed bit of a silly thread, if you get defected, know one to blame but yourself, so just have to suck it up.
  14. i don't see how any of those symptoms specifically point to a blown headgasket. if the ignition timing is too far advanced it will be a pain in the ass to start. one way to check is to unplug your main high voltage wire from coil to dizzy, and turn it over. if it turns over heaps faster you know it is a timing issue. if the ignition timing has been advanced in order to keep it running, the carby might be playing up in the idle circuit. give it a good clean and set your timing properly. once it is running, then worry about your alternator/charging system. a dodgy alternator wont stop it from idling properly. just wont let it idle forever. sounds to me like it just needs a general tune up, clean out the carby, set ign timing, set points, check the resistance in the leads.
  15. i like it. though maybe to make it "less busy" paint your grill black? those white pin stripes make it look a bit busy in my opinion. but i think it looks better in the second pic, without the red stickers/roof racks/visor thing...
  16. t18drifts, i replied to your question in the "how to make your car drift" thread when you asked the same thing, maybe you didn't see it yet. the thread i pointed you to is the first result in a google search of "t18 diff LSD" http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/24305-lsd-for-t-18-diff/ all information required is in there, along with links to other useful threads. putting a ae86 diff in a t18 diff is nothing new, been documented 100's of times!
  17. i destroyed a caliper on my mates st162 by swinging of the caliper bolt the wrong way with a 4ft breaker bar thinking it was just bloody tight. stripped it good!, luckily we had a spare! if i'm using a rachet i almost always do a bit of an "air check", grab hold of the socket and pretend to undo the bolt and make sure the rachet is clicked the right way.. spanners in hard to reach places can get interesting, gota think about it sometimes, especially if you can't see the bolt! right hand rule is quite popular for a number of different areas, magnetic filed and x,y,z axis come to mind. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=Oxt&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=right%20hand%20rule&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=-1304898589767l-1304898589767l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1350&bih=381 i remember sitting in exams at uni and everyone is waving their hands about trying to remember the rules! looked hilarious.....
  18. i went to this last year, it was awesome! ill be there again.
  19. what you need a hilux diff for? i assume big power, and if you have big power what you want little 13" wheels for? not much in the way of options for tyres in 13", unless you go proxis 888 or an equally expensive semi slick. my oppinion is go for 15's, plenty of good tyres in 15".
  20. ah sorry at first it looked like the finish you get from sand blasting. i like it.
  21. that's very orange... what color are you going for the center? looks pretty cool though.
  22. a 4ac?!?! just throw in a standard one, or an exedy HD. make sure you get it cheap though.... or....my mate just bought an exedy organic(?) 4 puk clutch disc (used his original pressure plate), this is on a 12a turbo rx7, and it wont slip with ~300hp being put through it. at first it was a pain to drive, but he got used to it. i think he paid under 160 for the clutch disc by itself, just got it through supercheap auto (had to give them the part number to order though) (edit, using a new clutch disc, on a used pressure plate without machining the flywheel goes against all the rules, but it works and it works well:P) ive driven on a 3 puck ceramic clutch before (with a chunky pressure plate)...holy dooly don't buy one of them, what a pain.
  23. dear t18drifts, please use the google machine to cure your curiosity. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/24305-lsd-for-t-18-diff/ all the info you need is there. if you don't know what you are doing with diffs, take the car to a diff shop and say "please install this". you don't want to screw up your $1000 LSD.
  24. your best bet is to go and talk to a diff shop. You never know something might fit with a bit of modification (by the diff shop)
