  1. Thats great to hear terry, hopefully all sorted after this weekend?! Are you going to get a chance to drive this thing before handing over to emma?? ;)
  2. Is there anything in specific you want to do? Is relocating an option?
  3. Maybe last thing i could suggest terry is if all else fails, take the rolla up to burpengary trasmissions. The two guys up there are really on the money. I took the pontiac there a couple of months ago, full auto box service was only $140. cheers!
  4. +1, had the same problem in my hardtops when always leaning left, either sideways or up against trees.
  5. Yeah certainly doesn't sound right, Although same symtoms as a buggered diaphram, although you have checked that............and the vaccuum source. Could be the piston in the valve body on the other side of the kick down module inside the box, could be sticky? Bands sound like they could do with an adjustment too. Do you know when the box was last serviced in the last car it was in? Have you pulled the pan off to see what the box is like inside? Like if there is any sludge of the sort? It only takes a little bit of foreign matter to throw a spanner in the works, cheers!
  6. What are the symptoms of the box terry? Is it holding out in the gears and is doughy/dowey when taking off? Even at full throttle? Or is it prematurely shifting through the gears and going straight to top gear?
  7. Just a word of warning, fitting an aftermarket carb (eg. weber or holly) to a 4wd can be useless and frustrating once used in off road conditions, when faced with more high level angles of ascending and descending they tend to starve or flood badly. The problem can possibly be overcome going to the right carby guy.
  8. They should park it on a frozen lake, summer is just around the corner! Ha ha.
  9. Make sure you have half decent tyres if your going, its a little slippery here at the moment.............
  10. Looks to be a great starting point!
  11. You couldnt have said it any better tez, your on the money, i usually overlap 50%. don't worry too much chris, it took me 3 cars before my paint jobs started looking half decent, we all have to start somewhere! cheers! ps. more pics please!!!! :rocknroll:
  12. don't stress fella, not having a go at you at all if thats what your thinking, just trying to help. Reason why i ask is when you have a good, wide fan it helps eliminate spray lines, and if its a low pressure gun, 30 psi could be a good starting base, give or take. Things like this is just trial and error until you get a good flow. Keep up the good work, be good to see it finished! cheers!
  13. I really like the colour, is it that new toyota blue????? what pressure are you running? What sort of gun and nozzle size do you have? and what size of fan are you producing?
  14. Heya dan, nice find! i'll be watching this thread, love the 2 doors!!! ps. more pics if possible! cheers!
  15. Looking awsome Tezza!!! I'm assuming your gluing the fabric to the wood or stitching it tight??
  16. Looks to be fairly tidy, congrates on the pickup!!!!
  17. depends how far you wanna go and what sort of quality parts you wanna put into it, last 4k i done (mostly stock) with pretty much eveything i could buy internally, mostly just using acl brand, was around the $650 mark, thats including a couple of bolt on's to i think................................
  18. Looking very nice tez, the end is certainly closer now, keep up the great work!!!!!!
  19. Looks pretty cool, i'm keen for more pics!!
  20. i'm glad to see your looking after this gem, top job! :rocknroll:
  21. just about on the money, just a switcheroo, it was the early 74/5/6 which had them, i'm still yet to find out if they were a factory option, or they just produced them randomly. In saying that, not all early 30's had the chrome inserts either.
  22. I love ke30 2 doors, i'll be watching!!!!!
  23. you can fill the hole full of quick steel, re-drill and re-tap the tread, ive done that to one of my 4k blocks, still going strong after 5 years! cheers!
