  1. Look at the holes on the wheels, are they square shouldered or tapered? If they are square shouldered you will require new wheel nuts (shanked nut and washer). Don't go belting out wheel studs until you have worked this out! If the stud holes look bigger, I'd say you will have to go the shank and washer option. Cheers R
  2. 760kg is the official weight. Realistically they're about 820 to 840 kg unmodified. Dwarf weighed in at Rally of Q at 863kg, with half a tank of fuel.
  3. On the other hand, the Dwarf used to crap batteries every 6 months, due to punishment. Okay, they were under warranty, but that doesn't help when it craps itself mid rally. I know have an Odessy, and it's the best money I've spent. Small, compact and mountable on it's side.
  4. Excellent news..... And their first rally car was...........:doublebird: (Foto by Fook) 02290046_vi.jpe

  6. Well done to Wyldephyre for his photo published on page 55 of this months Rallysport Magazine! Ahhhh.... the first steps to further (deserved) greatness...... :doublebird:
  7. It looks like the boys riding the brakes on the A330 weren't awake at the time....

  9. Nice hole....
  10. Raer looking forward in the 737....
  11. Anyone know a good panel beater?
  12. Ha, now who's laughing at my Webers!! :doublebird: (Not that I think they're real emissions friendly)
  13. Really? Possible. Probably quite achievable on short term big boost. I hear you can get big horsepower out of anything just before it goes bang! :doublebird: I suppose the motorsport multiplication factor for turbos is 1.6. A top flight 4K will put down 100hp at the wheels, does it therefore go to reason that 160hp is achievable with a turbo? But then again, they multiply the capacity by that factor. I suppose logically that the HP would be effected the same way. Standard drivetrain in Angela's car??
  14. *Shrugs* What ever paddles ones boat......
  15. Nor will you keep a 4K together with 200 ATW. That is about 275 at the fly, and if you can get that, I'd be very suspect of the Dyno. W55 Supra box, custom bellhousing, Hi-lux diff. Possible massage of trans tunnel to fit Supra box. You will not keep the standard drive train for more than ten minutes with that kind of HP. Call me a doubter, but I can't see you getting that out of a 4K either. 160hp + and they start playing dot to dot with the welsh plugs. Felix, you're a bit of a guru with these turbo thingies, your thoughts? I would have thought 100-120 at the wheels a good achievable number in the real world.... Wreckers for gearboxes? Yellowpages are your friend. Um, I'm not being to harsh am I? :doublebird:
  16. Don't put them onto any surface that you like, they can be super adhesive if left in the sun. Mines on a tool box somewhere.

Agreed. Semmens car should be well and truely rooted by now. It's led a really hard life that one. Is the Robinson guy the one that used to run a workshop in Clayton/ Oakliegh and was a Corolla wrecker? He used to be the only guy in Melbourne that dealt in pre-74 Corolla's.... For what it's worth, piccies of the Red Car...
  18. Unless you're making OBSCENE aounts of horsepower, don't go with the Hilux option, it's a lot of diff to be having slamming around in the back end of a Corolla. Fook and I both have Celica diffs in our 35/55. Unfortunately they're a bit untested at the moment, but to me it's a far better option. I'm suprised that you haven't had diff issues previously, as my red car with the 1360cc motor has been having large drivetrain issues, and wouldn't have as much stick as a good 1600. A bit of screwing around to make them fit, but not that bad. Cheers R

Brain's thing was the quickest thing going in the early 90's, and I still wonder what happened to that car. Never saw Viberts car, although I have heard it's very well sorted. Semmens also had the most amazing maintenance program on his car, too. He had two close boxes, and would swap them every six rallies. May I ask how much he paid for it? Rally cars are fun, but expensive. I think I saw your photo's on the Vic Rally website..... My KE25 is the quick car at the moment, 1360 cc P1 car, it annoys an awful lot of bigger cars! :doublebird: I haven't lived in Victoria for about 5 years, so I'm a bit behind the times with modern developments of who's driving what down there...
  20. Is it a standard KE55 diff, or is it a Celica? Standard KE55 diff about the best ratio you will get will be a 4.5:1 ratio, that will still be a little ordinary behind a T50 box. There are others around, but they're hard to find. A mate has 5.1's in his KE70, but I've no idea where he found them. I've seen 1 LSD to fit these diffs in 13 years. Don't expect to find one this decade. If you have a Celica diff, you can buy TRD/Cusco centres for them. Around $1200 for the diff plus around $600 to $700 for 4.77 ratios. 5.1 would be better, but really hard to find. 5.375;1 are also available, but not advisable. Hope this helps.... R
