As long as he drives like it's like a motorkhana, and not a drift comp, he should be fine. If he acts like a tool, he'll be in trouble. Having said that, it's hard to get decent drifts going in a motorkhana, as the distance between the pegs are too short. I think he'll find it more difficult than he expects. But it shouldn't be a problem, Mumblezz has adapted quite well... :P

Not quite as classy as an EVO8, it was Gorgeous George's old EVO5 they got into after the Corolla. Unfortunately, I don't think they're making their debut until Sweden, as another driver is doing Monte Carlo, but after that, it's all rounds....

Believe it or not, this is not costing a whole lot of money at the moment, mainly time and a lot of sweat (EEWWWwwwww). I expect the car will be covered in stickers. Nick, I may need your services soon......

I would love to take it up professionally, but there's no money in it. Car body now seam welded, engine bay electrics sorted (thanks to Pete from Alexander's Auto Electric, Petrie), body mostly finished. New cover for trans tunnel to be made tomorrow. Gaskets arrive from MEL tomorrow, and grunter clutch should turn up in the next two days. Still looking goodish for paint on Saturday......

Hmmmm, low. Two door KE30, somewhat rare. A very good little car,stronger than a four door, and lighter than a coupe they were always good to make into race cars. I'm still getting to grips that you drove it day to day at that ride height!! Is the new paint the same yellow?

It was my wifes (then girl friend) daily drive, and my club motorkhana/ hillclimb car on the weekends. All cars start somewhere.... Kangaroosa, sorry for dragging your thread :P , I'm only keeping it warm until you post your pics.... Honest!

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The Dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-with. The Bird on the other hand has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the hanging metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time.

I know, EVO 1 Redwarf, after Dad and I attacked it and sprayed it Fire engine Red. Literally. A bit different from the EVO3 build....

I sold my baby LSD to a guy at Head stud Development years ago. They built a Corolla club car years ago, and it seriously hauled ass. That will be a GOOD motor. Even the best engines have teething problems, my grunter had valve stem seal issues when it first went in, but was soon cheerfully fixed by the engine builder. Sounds like your's is doing the same..... Going WAAAAAAy off topic here, have you had anything to do with the Toyota Car Club in Melbourne?

That not moving the dizzy bit is interesting, I assume that means there is a different dizzy for he 2T-GUE so you can get dizzy adjustment? You learn something everyday....

I could have fixed your carbie problem easily. I can see the problem and describe it in one word, "solex". They're a piece of excrement. You did right to throw them away. Webers are a far better option than the Japanese copies. Mmmmm.... I'm still not a fan of the factory 2T-G efi set-up. Meh, as long as you're happy! :P

Jamie recommends Pennzoil, however if you choose Penrite go with the thicker HPR40. You want to use the thicker stuff as your have issues. As Felix says, in the long run you're going to have to do the stem seal at some stage.

Hopefully the paint side will be done next weekend. Engine was sat back in today, ready for Auto Elec to do things like pull out the alarm and clean up the wiring. Hahaarrrrggghhhh, we do be gett'n thar!

Dwarf is an off the shelf colour, just not off the shelf of where we went for the paint! It's Wanyes gun, and works very well, good coverage, easy to use.

Low pressure gun, and we had partially un-masked the car by then. How hard is it to choose the colour red? There were thousands of the damn things. Unfortunately we couldn't match Dwarf red, too. :P
