  1. They will probably recore yours. Go for a three row one. About $300 or so, but that was a couple of years ago
  2. It shouldn't as far as I know pass the old regs either. I know in Motorsport circles 45mm main hoops have been the go for years. Guys, please don't think I'm picking on you. I trying to talk to you as someone who has both tested a cage, and seen many others tested as well. If you look at the majority of cusco cages and the way the rear stays are connected, I personally believe They offer very little in the way of rigidity. Spend your money on something worthwhile.
  3. Seriously, get one built. I've never seen a Cusco/ Japanese cage that I'd be happy with in a car I own. Therefore I wouldn't recommend one to anyone I know, either. :)
  4. Half cage for a halfwit. Seriously, how about we just skip the middle man and I bash you over the head with a piece of pipe? Same result as using a Cusco half cage. Talk to an engineer, that's the best way. It's all a bit up in the air ATM. NCOP is in the process of coming in, so things are a-changing as we speak.
  5. I've now ended up with three complete sets of tools. My work box, which is completely imperial, the wall mount at home and a full set packed to go racing with. Save up and get a reasonable second set for home, because transporting a 9 drawer is going to get very ordinary very quickly. If I had my time again, I'd buy a force set from trade tools for home. Good enough quality for cars, good warranty and excellent value. when I build the new shed, I might just do that now I think about it. :)
  6. Steel Blue for the MoFo win. I'm on about my 4th pair. I hereby endorse this product or event. Edit: vvvv He's right.
  7. If you guys are creating alternate profiles to shit stir, and I catch you (and I will), I will not be pleased.

  9. GCT are a good bunch of guys. They do a fair few motorkhana's and khanacrosses as well as organize the odd rally. (Officialling for a rally is a great way to get up and close to the action). Their khanacrosses at Parklands are legendary.
  10. Sorry guys, I know I said I'd do a how to, but I've been busy. As far as car clubs go, do a bit of research. Some clubs cost up to twice as much as others to join. MG being a case in point. I belong to NDSCC, and am a past member of HSCCQ. Both are great grass roots clubs, that are fairly active, with a reasonable membership fee. NDSCC: More a rally based club, but also run motorkhanas mainly on the northside. HSCCQ does a lot of motorkhanas and khanacrosses. Both are good friendly clubs. If you're down the coast, Gold Coast Tweed Motorsport Club would also be worth a look. CAMS licence: Level 2S which will get you doing any type of club motorsport: Pay your money and start playing. When/ if you want to Rally/ Off Road/ Circuit Race (That's race, not club sprints) then you require an upgrade and things get a little more complicated. Just because you join one club, doesn't mean you can't go and do events that another club are holding. About the only exception I know of this are the NDSCC motorkhanas which tend to be "closed" events, and therefore only open to club members. Lakeside: Be VERY careful of this place. It's very easy to take your car home as a small cube. It;'s an old school race track that is not forgiving to the inexperienced. Willowbank for all it's boringness is a far safer track due to its huge runoff areas. Lakesiode doesn't really have runoff areas. It has concrete walls, and there's not a lot of space if you run out of talent. Hugely rewarding when you get it right though.
  11. What does her ring look like? :D Congratulations. It really isn't as bad as everyone says. :)
  12. The more original, the more they're worth. One of the few cars that are appreciating ATM
  13. I know it's a bit late, but prise the rear window open and use a broom stick to the opposite side. :)
  14. Per forum rules, please supply a price. Regards Mods.
  15. At the time, it was "So late at night."
  16. Bitch to get parts for. Particularly panels. It's an orphan. Nothing else came out like it.
  17. Yep, Mazda 1000 for astart. Yes some people may want this for an early Corolla, however the issue is getting some half decent rubber to put on them. That's why most people will go to 13's or 14's.
  18. Mazda as well had 4 x 110. Be careful also that they are not 4 x 108, which is Escort.
  19. It looks like a grey import Corolla. Not delivered in this country. Could have one of a couple of engines in it. Petrol or Diesel? Edit: Should read the tags......
