  1. Hmmmmm. Save money or have a car that runs. Dude. They're not that expensive, and once you have a new one, it'll be good until you get rid of the car.
  2. No. It's shorter than a twenty diff.
  3. I have mine through Air Liquide. Same deal as above.
  4. No. "Jailbar" grills come off early 20's, and the above off late 20's. That said, really top quality ones are hard to find. Average examples are everywhere, however.
  5. I've had .125 off one. Had to mill new screwdriver notches back into the head.
  6. No engine conversion is "worth it" in the end. Work out what you will spend on it and it will be worth about a third of that when you're finished.
  7. Looks like you desparately need to contact Transport and tell them you don't own it anymore. For all you know you no longer have any demerit points left as this dude has used them all up..
  8. I agree. What's the point of going to work and making money if you can't spend it on hobbies. Also known as "pointless shit". Save it all til I'm grey(er) and wrinkly(er)? Thanks, but I could wake up dead tomorrow, then I'll have had no fun.
  9. You really need to get a hobby. Oh..... Hang on......
  10. Not really. A decent cage will do the same thing. My 25 isn't and its done 198 Motorsport events.
  11. Agree, interesting. However I try to own the lightest possible helmet. Adding weight doesn't really appeal to me.
  12. The alloy housing for the bottom bracket that's bonded to the frame has disbonded. It also has some frame cracks emanating from the same area. :( Looking for warranty ATM.
  13. I wouldn't bother. There's faaaaaaar better conversions to do. Even if you have a free engine it's still not worth it.
  14. I've broken my beautiful carbon frame Ridley road bike. :(
  15. Correct. :) It's the gag that just keeps giving for the mod team!
  16. An associate has 2.3 one of these in a Mexico replica. Makes as much Hp as his BDA, and more reliably.
  17. Well done on taking the wrong course of action. Please either PM myself or Irokin with the required details, and we will look into it. 10 days is not that long to wait, particularly if it is out of the way for the individual to send it to you. Regards R
  18. would that be Mr Rosengrave? Don't worry, my name still appears three times on that list. :) In hindsight, I was probably more successful in the TCCA events.
  19. Selling my Touareg. I don't have to, but I'm not driving it. At least it frees up some capital to start the Shed-Mahal. Another Pajero arrives on Friday as its replacement.
  20. I was around when Brian Shanahan was at the height of his powers. I came second in class to him at least three times, possibly as many as five times. A couple of years it was only by a point. :( Got more than one round trophy, but never took home the season.
  21. MH, being another of my groomsmen at my wedding, would have been under the impression that there was a time limit. Back in the day, if you hadn't scored VMS point in the preceding six (ten?) years, you would be eligible for novice again. I'm working on the same premise in my previous comment. They must have changed it to prevent people like Col, Maurie and myself coming back and "burgalling" the class. :) I have accumulated the odd VMS point in the past.
  22. I think I re-qualify for Novice thse days. :)
  23. You've missed the most important pieces of information. How much money do you have and how handy with the tools are you?
  24. I have a steel Armstrong jack that I've now had for nearly 15 years. Great in the workshop, but a heavy shit of a thing going racing. When I go racing again in a serious way, I'll get an alloy one for that purpose. That said, great workshop jack that is still going strong with no leaks. Originally bought from Trade Tools.
  25. Regretfully I'm parting with my 1 owner atacama grey Touareg. 38000 Kms. V6 TDI. 180 kw and 550 nm of torque. Factory tow pack. Leather. Rear cargo tray. Fresh tyres. Comes from the factory with HUGE brakes. 9 months reg. This is a real 4wd with low range. Don't be deceived, this thing will go places so called "real" 4wds won't. $51000. Enquire within.
