  1. When?????????????? When I owned one, Col. :)
  2. I had some custom Uni-filter sandwich ones made up. From memory they were about 40mm thick. Some minor "movement" of the strut tower also occured. You can from memory fit a KE30 engine mount to the left side to turn the engine a bit to give more space.
  3. The train trip from Amsterdam to Frankfurt is beautiful.
  4. Gday Ashton. The "Wanted to Buy" area of the forum is where you would m get most success. Cheers Mods
  5. I endorse this product or service. Deni autocross isTHE best Autocross track I've driven. And I've sample 3 states worth of tracks. Leave your tyre pressures up because it's like concrete after 2 runs. By the looks of the photo I'd say it was taken just after a motorkhana. I can see triple loop at the top, square slalom just under it, and cloverleaf at the bottom. :)
  6. I approve of this service or product. WGMG: Not motorcyclists in general, however the numpty this morning who sat in my blind spot on the left for several kilometers. Do you really want to die that much?
  7. 4 months after the fact. If he hasn't measured it by now, somethings wrong.
  8. Oh dear. I've just made a mess. One day I will own a Muira. I don't care if I have to wait until I'm 90.
  9. A gentleman I work with rolled one of these and nearly terminally broke himself. Airbags didn't go off on impact, either. (Note: Impact before roll over.) I wouldn't even sit in one, let alone my kids.
  10. Cheap thrills. Seriously, AU$7.5K for a car with decent heritage.
  11. Gday, Please post this in the "Wanted to Buy" section of the forum. Classified items are not allowed in regional forums. Regards Mods.
  12. Errrmmmm. No. It's not really. :locked:
  13. Because I don't want to clean up pages of crap from people you are about to offend further, I am going to ask nicely that the direction that this thread now taking, is not taken any further. For the record I don't have any opinions either way. I'm just all for the quiet life. Regards R
  14. "Ran out of brakes, ran out of road, ran out of talent." Neal Bates. "So your telling me you turned up to the ATM of talent and were told you had insufficent funds?" Bean, legendary service crew from NSW. Said to me. And I did. "If you look really closely, you can see the greenish hue of the electro-tree magnet" Stated about an infamous ARC driver who spent more time in the trees than on the road. "we came around the corner and had a bit of a moment." Ari Vatenen with a smoke wreck of an Escort in the background. "The difference between a shrub and a tree is that you can drive through shrubs." Anon.
  15. Okay. Below is a map of Australia. Hobart is on that little island at the bottom right. Sydney is about a third of the way up the right side of the big island. The blue bit in between the small island (Tasmania) and the big island (Australia, most of...) is water. You can't tow a trailer across water. Therefore going from the little island to the big island will entail going by boat, as a KE10 exceeds your allowable 20 kg checked in baggage limit on any given commercial airline. If the car is going and rego'd, pay a company to do it. Probably be about $800 from Tassie. (small island.)
  16. Okay. The above is what is referred to as a "lane end" situation. Thus you are moving from one lane to another, and MUST give way to any and all traffic in the lane that you are moving into. If the white lines just stoped at the end of the long white lines, ie, no short white lines in the above picture, then a "merge will occur. This operates on the V8 supercar rule. If you are in front, you have right of way. The big question is: What were the road markings at this point?
  17. Nearly saw that happen to an apprentice in Melbourne once.I really thought he was going in.....
  18. Better. King Spring traditionally had a reputation for ... well... for want of better words, ordinary quality control. You could get four supposedly matched springs and the whole car would sit horribly. They however have seemed to have picked their game up over the last few years. The springs that came with my $4000 MCA struts for the Subaru are custom Kings, and I know Murray wouldn't use them if they didn't have their shit together these days. That said, I've been sponsered by Peddars for years and have never had an issue with their springs. And I've punished them far worse than you ever will. Forget about sway bars until you have springs and shocks sorted.
  19. That's a reasonable statement. If you don't want the hassle of getting the right parts, get something that parts are easy for. KE10 is an orphan if you want to swap most parts (apart from engines) as a direct bolt in swap. Panels from anything else won't fit. You can graft 20 struts in but it's a bit of rooting around. KE20 diff will be wider. Grills, bars and any trim you can think of are unique.
  20. Gday, An advertisement in the "Wanted to buy" Area of this forum is the best way to go about this. Don't forget to select a location from the dropdown menu. :) Regards Mods.
  21. KE70 shifter is going to be in the wrong place, and will probably appear through the floor at about the handbrake.
