  1. Pre Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Dude, why do you not have a Gregorys for it? If the head bolt's are out, and the manifolds are off, there are three screwdriver holes at the base of the head. Use those holes, a screwdriver and lever the head off. You may have to pull the therrmostat housing off the front as well, i can't remember. It's been a while. PS: I flatly refuse to email someone with an address of sik_vl ........
  2. ..... And if the State Traffic Branch see that wing, you're off to court, never mind a ticket. And the next time you get pulled over, it's bye-bye to the car for 48 hours. Don't forget to get your replacement seat blue-plated.
  3. I knew it was going to be all bad as soon as she said "double caution right crest, stay left......." http://www.motorsportmad.com/view/1812/ire...-on-board-crash
  4. The Great Ari Vatinen again. On board footage somewhere very cold. The speed he's carrying at the end, on snow, is awesome. http://www.motorsportmad.com/view/2619/ari...legacy-on-board
  5. Go on line to the CAMS website and download Schedule J, roll over protection. Which would be here: http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/general/0...%20J%20Q407.pdf For a couple of pics, try here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...366&hl=roll
  6. Go and pay someone to do it. You'll thank yourself in the long run.
  7. It'll be a tight fit. I used to rub 205/60 13's on the lips.
  8. Did that with a Sparco! :lolcry: We even built in a stubby holder into the frame, for easy access drinking between stages......
  9. Very good price. I payed $700 odd for one about 7 years ago, and I know the GPT that I just got retails for around $780. They're not that common second hand because most who have them will go to the effort of keeping them from car to car. You shouldn't be disappointed with them. :lolcry:
  10. Velo seats FTW. They look like a set of old GP90's? Great seat, had one for years.
  11. It's like a plastic bag filled with ricotta cheese......
  12. We'll soon find out about the handling! However it already has custom made adjustable height struts in the front, and it's usually done pretty good for itself in the past :fuzz: Yes the backs are light, and I tend to run the back at a lower ride height than the front. It also has the T-series out of Evo2 Dwarf with the 4.7 TRD slippery in it, so we'll suck that and see, too. I can't go rotary and stay a Production Rally Car, and lets face it this car has almost 200 events under it's belt, a good rotary would rip the shell in half! Early grille stays. :lolcry:
  13. Meridian Motorsport in Melbourne.
  14. ......... and at the moment it looks like it's going to get the grunter 160hp motor, too.
  15. Like all of us, not big enough! :lolcry:
  16. Well, time to update. As some of you know, and all of you are about to find out, I've decided to reshell this car. It needed a rear quarter cut, and a complete front cut, and a couple of hours on the rack to be anywhere near straight again. Fortunately some bloke frronted up with a rust free rolling shell for $250. Thank you very much. So after a year of living under the house, work has begun. Seem welding at the moment (re-teaching myself how to weld - not pretty) drivers side seat mounts (to attach my brand new Velo to.... ahhh Christmas bonus from a good boss!) to be made then off to the cage builder for a REALLY big cage. All body deadener striped from car (12 kgs so far.... ) and am also about to start with the hole saw in the bits I won't be able to get at once the cage is in. (ie anywhere behind the door line.) And so it begins again.
  17. I still have it, it's still not finished, but it's close. New mounts are done, I just have to do the pedal box and bolt everything in. And my flares should arrive mext week. :lolcry:
  18. ...... and there is no earthly way that we can tell you what the valve springs are, either.
  19. My complete inability at the moment to be able to Mig weld......
  20. ^^^^^^^^^ Well there we go. 15 years of playing with 3K's and I've honestly just learnt something. :lolcry: Store that one up. Disregard previous comment.
  21. If you regrind a 3K cam, yes it will fit into a 4K. They're close enough to identical.
  22. I ask you all! Is this the kind of attitude that has forged our great nation??? What if James Cook said, "I could sail half way around the world, but I can't be arsed!" Where would this fine nation be? Eating frogs legs, speaking French and arguing with waiters, that's where! Go forth build my son, experiment! I dare say it won't work because diesel turbo's I don't think are the go, but hey I could be wrong. Build I say! Get a mate and a few good stubbies and build stuff in the true legends of bush mechanics! And if it doesn't work, open another stubby and say "Bugger" and try a different way! You know it makes sense... :lolcry:
  23. They run extremely well. Much better than the 32/36 Weber convo that everybody does. Not as good as DCOE Weber/ Dellorto install though, but half the price to set up. Like webers though, SU's like a good dyno to work properly. Once done though, you don't have to touch them.
  24. :o until we have a better grasp of the english language.
  25. ^^^^^^^^^ seconded. Make it look as though you made an effort at school please.
