  1. Not when you stuff a huge wad of steel wool up there it doesn't. :sob:
  2. Different stud pattern.
  3. If you don't want to change stud pattern I'd be chasing RX2/3 and going over it with a tape measure.
  4. Didn't look super hard then, did you? :hmm: Start here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...18428&st=15 which is one of the later threads on this topic, and have a read through some of the members ride sections. TA22 wont bolt in, as the spring platforms are for coils. Leaf platforms will have to be added. Stud pattern will also change. If you want to keep the 20 pattern, you may have to look at Mazda diffs, as they predominately have the same stud pattern. (4 x 110) Investigated this for about 2.5 minutes and then wrecked my other rally car, and thus my 25 has a t series diff with 4.77 LSD from the grunter. (4 x 114.3 pattern). I don't like you luck at being able to bolt a mazda diff in, as I think you would probably have to change the spring mounts in some way. Cheers R
  5. Unfortunately they were put in Corolla's (the most likely source) from about 1976 to about 1984. KE5x- KE70 models. That's about as close as you'll get with the info provided.
  6. Too many people with agendas on there. People giving bad ratings for bullbars, lights and other very minor misdemenors that nobody else gives a fliying about.
  7. I don't think so. It would have been a private import (probably from somewhere like PNG), so the mirrors are on the front guards, and there is no ADR plate on the side opposite the chassis number. I've only ever seen 2 other examples in many years, and its the same with them, as well. although this one is by far the best example. 4 door 10s are common compared to these.........
  8. You should reco the engine and do precisely NOTHING to it. You have one of the rearest 20's in this country, and if you modify it in any way I will personally hunt you down and rip you a new one. My 2c. :jamie:
  9. You're all a bunch of collective Princesses who need to harden up. :) I think I should be able to make this, although I may require a lift still by that point. R
  10. Went through two on a good hp motor. Points went back in and never had another issue.
  11. Cheap does not always equal good.
  12. Slow progress, but an enforced holiday at the moment is helping.....
  13. Oh dear.........
  14. That red 15 sprinter looks alot like Theo Wintels (my he RIP) old car. I heard it went to Sydney.
  15. Usually you've got to cut a hole in the vodka fumes to talk to the crew on them. I reckon he was as loaded as he could get on a 2600m runway. It was an ADF charter to Unknownistan. Plus he was using the curvature of the earth to gain altitude..
  16. The only way they'll point upwards on one of those things is if it flys upside down. :D Its called an "anhedral' wing. The wing tips point down from the fuselage. (Read me, aircraft geeks!) What you're thinking of is called "dihedral", which is where the wing tips are above the wing root. This is the most common type of wing that one sees. 737NG's have around 6 feet of flex ( and hence upward movement in flight) in the wings. Anhedrals tend to be quite stiff, mainly to maintain the angles required. That 76 was chock full of gear and most likely all the tax payer funded fuel they could fit on.
  17. Pennzoil semi synthetic, or Penrite HPR 30.
  18. I'd give my left testicle for Al's 27. He also has other REALLY beautiful bits of machinery. Have a great day.....
  19. You can't use white, as that's the colour of my new car! Always been a fan of red, though......
  20. Ilyushin 76. Canberra airport. Runway 17, 2600 odd meters. "We pay for runway, we use ALL of runway."
  21. No worries Reg. I had a feeling 213:1 CR was a bit excessive!! :P
  22. I had a set for ages, set and forget. Nice budget mod. As Col said, get a complete setup, the extra heart ache is worth it. The going rate for setup's are around $300 and have been for about 15 years!
  23. Reg, could I just correct you on a point of order? I think you mean .020" (20 thou) head shave. I had one down .125 (about 3mm) and that was a BIG shave. Normal programing may now resume..... :P
  24. You've been warned about posting wanteds in the regional forums before. DON'T DO IT AGAIN. :P
  25. 2TG never came in 30's. 37's only. Just because you could buy them overseas doesn't mean it's a legal conversion here. Both of my cars have (and require) blue plates for 2TG's even though they're the right shape. 2T conversion would be the same. Find a K motor. Start playing. Learn stuff. :P
