  1. Yeah i went there this arvo. As for the moustache...can't say i noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'll be picking up my calipers later this week, so i'll keep an eye out for it.
  2. I was at Centre Rd Wreckers on saturday. Noticed a few of the Celicas were spray painted 'www.cccvic.cjb.net'. Mass retirement of cars from the club?
  3. How badly do they chew out the rotors? The sales bloke actually recommended using EBC reds.......until he realised the RX7 pads werent actually going onto an RX7. He uses Reds on heavier cars....even on the street.
  4. Welcome buddy. Nice car (my favourite of all the corolla's). My car was originally a 2 or 3 speed and 3K when i first bought it. That lasted all of about 2 days before i ripped it all out.
  5. Are they overkill? Nope Will they fit in the engine bay with the slanted engine? Yep Redline Hardimans sell inlet manifolds to suit. Their about $200ish. Linkage kits are $100+. I even had ram tubes and socks on the carbs in my KE30.
  6. Hush Mr. Stock 5K. I picked up the pads a few mins ago, and dropped off the Land Cruiser calipers to be reco'd. So its confirmed, you can get greenstuff for at least $140. Nearly half the price of autobarn. I'm sure trade price would be even cheaper too.
  7. I've never heard of them. Have you used/recommend them?
  8. Well i called up the place mentioned above. He has set aside a set of Greenstuff under his counter for me. $140 pair. Thats $120 cheaper than Autobarn.... I use Bendix General CT in both my cars currently. Good enough for the street, but after a few quick stops they are pretty much cooked. So i'm branching out and trying new things. I'll be buying the Greenstuff and giving them a chance. If I don't feel comfortable with them, I'll change over the Racebrakes RB74's. Autobarn tried to sell me some $40 Ferrodo's...."Yeah, I'm asking about EBC and Racebrakes. You think i am interested in $40 Pads"! I guess Ferrodo have upper level pads too considering what Irokin mentioned above? EDIT* Anyone know what the EBC Black range are like? Just a pad....Or pretty decent for a low end of the range pad.
  9. He lost points for running away from the camera in the first place. So he's just trying to redeem himself.
  10. Click I think the clip speaks for itself.
  11. Kangaroosa cbf with fabrication so he is paying a workshop to make the mounts for him. :) They are flat out, so the earliest i can get in is early next year. Needless to say they are doing things from scratch. They want the car and the engine delivered. They will drop the engine in, draw up what they want in the way of mounts and get them laser cut. Apparently it will be cheaper and quicker than taking existing mounts, then chopping and welding them to suit. If you don't care about it being legal, then go for the 13B. Its kinda like dropping a 3K in when you have the opportunity to drop a 5K in. If your from Melbourne, you could get a second Hilux diff jigged up for me.... I scoured the wreckers yesterday for an R31 diff to find they have all been pilfered.
  12. Thanks mate. I'll give them a call tommorrow.
  13. I'm in the middle of the Corona strut upgrade and am chasing around places for some EBC green stuff brake pads to suit series 4/5 RX7's. Most places i went to don't stock them nor do they deal with EBC. Repco (last resort) would have to make calls etc and were not much help at all. Autobarn (very last resort) quoted $250 for the fronts alone. Is this the going price, or does anyone have any contacts to get them cheaper. I'm keen to give these pads a try, to at least decide for myself whether they are good value (but $250 is pretty far fetched). Second option that looks inviting is the new Bendix Race Pad series. Racebrakes pads like Demuire used were my first option, but 'every' place i went to had never heard of them. That includes the major stores listed above. "What, is that the name of the brand"? So who's knows what price EBC Greenstuff are normally, and who can get me a cheaper pair than $250? I'll make it worth your while.
  14. I came across this ad on Ausrotary and thought of this thread. Considering some people showed interest, heres the link. Carbon Fibre
  15. Out of those 3 options, (A) would have to win. Personally i prefer them with flares and wide tyres. Nice .....shame its Orange though.
  16. The internal carby components will change from car to car even if they are stock engines. So have a read of the FAQ for a starting point and work from there. FAQ There is no definate answer that people can give you, that will make your car drive 100% first try.
  17. Where exactly are you?
  18. don't locksmiths have the ability to cut you a new key if you take the ingition/lock barrel to them......or call a mobile locksmith out to you.
  19. I bought some 100mm ones the other day. 12 x 1.25 $5.50 each. If you go to Coventry Fasteners, the part number is - 12-1.25x100M88BN
  20. CLICK It makes me giggle evertime i see it...... I'm not big on Tattoo's. 9 times out of 10, people have kids/partners names etc tattooed on their shoulder or tucked away somewhere that they never see it. I don't really see the point. A bloke i work with has chinese writing on one shoulder (he's Italian) and it could read "Special Fried Rice" for all he knows. A Christianity cross on his thumb (he's an amateur kick boxer).....Go figure. Various other tats that make no sense either. I guess what i'm trying to say is, don't get some crappy tribal tattoo.
  21. Ebay Are these the Calipers that everbody uses with the AU Caliper kits?
  22. Seems to be a discrepency on the dates though. CLICK
  23. The Majority of wreckers in Melbourne charge $1 entry, and have done so for at least 2 years.
  24. Well it was over a year ago i think. I was bored and had no plans. So i made the drive out to watch the action.
