I havent noticed a thread about this yet. So where has the Database for Members rides gone? I noticed the link in my signature doesn't work either.

I had mine professionally done with an extra leaf, about 9 years ago. I even ordered a set of custom coils from the same workshop about 6 months back. Moorabbin Springworks 62 Levanswell Rd Moorabbin, VIC 3189 (03) 9553 3446

Hrmm Google wasnt displaying a page for them until I just tried it with the 'fullstop' G.MAX and it worked.

I run a Speco Elec Oil Pressure Gauge on my KE30. Along with the standard oil pressure light. I use this fitting in the link. They can be purchased from any parts shop. CLICK Word of warning though....I have sheared two of these off on the threaded section where it threads into the oil filter mounting. I think it has something to do with the engine shake that i get from my cam, and the heavy sender hanging off the end of it. The last time was about 2 months ago. It pumped all my oil out, and the first i knew about it was the strong oil smell. I looked at my gauge whilst doing 80km/h and found that i had 5PSI. :D Shame the oil light didnt forewarn me.

The tax man took $11,000 from me last financial year. I got a refund of $31. GMAX really need to invest some money into advertising. They don't have a website that I can find. Only pics I could find where on retailers websites. CLICK Are your wheels featured in the above link? EDIT Nevermind. I think these are the ones. CLICK

I used to have similar drama's on my car. Turned out to be the fuel line was clogged up with sand/sugar....whatever it was. The fuel line was like one of those old school sherbet straws. Hence, no fuel would make it into the carby and it would simply bunny hop and splutter. I would be checking the fuel lines and fuel filter for any blockages. Maybe take the fuel line off before the carb and turn the car over to check whether fuel is actually being pumped into the carb. Do you have points ignition? Check the point gap. Check all vacuum lines and manifold gasket for leaks. Take the air filter off and see if the pump jet is squirting fuel etc. Normally its something simple like the things mentioned above. The intake manifold looks a little dirty under the fuel lines. Had a fuel leak lately that the dirt has stuck too?

I'm all out (could possibly have one orange one somewhere). Let me know if Orange is ok, and i'll start digging around. ....and of course, Welcome. :P

Generally if you put lowered springs into a car, you match it up with some nice shocks to suit. It will only drive like a boat if your shocks are stuffed though. I use KYB Excel G's.

Yep, Its the Hoddle St massacre. I saw the TV aniversary special on TV during the week / past week. The gunman was aiming at the driver in the car. Police asked him what his intensions were when shooting at the car. The gunman responded "I was aiming at the driver, to kill him". So chances are that someone on here may own it, but its not likely to be the same person who owned it back then.

Welcome Jenny. Nice wheels, I have the exact same ones on my KE30. I'd be getting the alarm and keyless entry before lowering it. It would be a shame to have it stolen with all your nice gear on it. :) on the plates aswell.

I know alot of Pulsar owners swear by King Springs. I personally don't rate them (not for performance, but their low springs were actually higher than the standard springs that i had in my car). I understand the ride quality is fine amongst other users.....however the only other alternative or comparison for these people are coilovers. I have used and recommend Lovells. I don't rate Pedders either for the same reason above. I only use Custom Springs now. Infact i have some for sale in the parts section if your interested. I run Lovells Super Lows and KYB Excel G struts in my N14 Pulsar. They are fine. Nice and stiff, and they don't bottom out either.

I can blame Peter for the Dodgy details. Brooke, Steve and (the dad), the car has come up a real treat....especially in sunlight. I was at Peters workshop saturday morning, and apparentley i missed you guys by 30mins. Peter was saying you were pretty stoked with the outcome of the whole project, and he was certainly pretty happy with all the mechanical work. I'm sure I speak for all when I say that progress pics would be awesome. P.S. Hope you don't mind me posting pics of your car on a forum. There are no plates on the car, so I figured it wouldnt be a huge issue.

Just to add to this. I was at Jolly Roger wreckers a few weeks back. There was a perfect condition ke55 there. All gaurds were rust and dint free.....except the right rear wheel arch that had scraped along a pole or wall. The Dash was immaculate and intact. Standard interior in Brand new condition. Not a stain in sight. I was amazed that a car in such great condition would be found at a wreckers. ....I have the bonnet hinges :y:

The window tint was too dark to even see into the rear of the car. I didnt even think to look in the front.

Well i was getting my Daily car's exaust leak fixed yesterday, when i saw this parked out front of the Exhaust Shop. Toyota Hiace with a full house body kit, and super deep dish rims. The body kit was a bit rough in places (in regards to how it all mated up), but it wasnt overly disgusting in real life.......thats not to say that i would even consider buying the car. :y: It certainly had the most dished wheels that i had ever seen on a van though.
-
Just for future reference, Brand new windows will set you back around $270 each. I shopped around to get prices to replace my scratched drivers side window before i got them tinted. I am going to see if i can get the scratches polished out of mine when i get a chance.

Theres not much you can do to cover up a DCOE unless you fabricate sheilds etc. But then it just screams inspect me closer! Just call Vicroads or whoever is listed in that link i posted. Just ask general questions, and you should be fine. don't even mention what car you have......it shouldnt matter.

1 vote for the 7 spoke wheels on the left......without the rainbow technicolour look though. Is that the actual look of the wheel, or is that just a background reflection. The 5 spoke wheels just look cheap and nasty to me. My initial thought was that they looked like cheap auscar branded wheels that you see quite often on old commodores.

I don't know how strict the police will be enforceing the law. I'm sure a mild cam and extractors may be acceptable........but a huge cam, twin carbs etc would be pushing the friendship. Might be worthwhile making a few calls to clarify it though. I would assume the laws are there to stop larger capacity engines from being modded. A corolla with a cam and carbs is not exactly going to a rocket, where as 6cyl Cortina in the hands of a P plater is another story. Laws are laws at the end of the day. So it shouldnt matter whether its a 6cyl or 4cyl, the rules should apply to all.

I've been on the Gold Coast all week......what happened? :y:
