ScottKE1X replied to ratiara's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Yeah, nice darren... Looks like it was always meant to be that way. -
get some pics up ASAP! I wanna see this thing. I did a ke70 boot esky once, kept the diff in and rear seats so it could be rolled around and also used as a couch... I'm keen for the whole front struts and brakes if you don't need them...
-
haha, it better have been rooted!! |blink| Does that mean you got so excess parts?? so make one have a trailer and the other half a BBQ, Couch or Esky?? Post the pics!!
-
Hey Luke I recon you should wait til you get a hold of this beast and see if it a resto, only chop it if you run out of other options... You could buy a shitter and swap all the parts over seeing its a clean shell Scott.

Here is the best of what I got... Credit to my Bro Chris for some of the shots, hard to take credit when I'm in the pic! Some look almost identical to what Darren has already posted!! Cheers, Scott. -
Other Rides - 1963 Chevrolet Corvair And 1969 Bmw 2002

Darren, I was about to pm you to ask if you had any pics up of these cars. VERY nice collection. I actually took a few pics of your 2002 at the Bay 2 Birdwood last year!! I though it look familular... and I think I may have seen your Bug around too somewhere... Good to see you've got such broad tastes and actually doing something about it :jamie: A corolla next maybe?? Cheers Scott. -
Nice Gav, something different. I know where a few of these are just "resting" in front yards and have considered doing a door knock... I never got the balls to give it a go. Tidy stuff. Scott.

Nice photos boys, you don't muck around getting them posted. Ill chuck some up too ASAP Man I wish I got there earlier for the big group shots... Next time. Good work Brenton for getting it happening. Scott. -
VERY nice score, you must of moved very fast for that. There would be some Celica Nuts out there who've been searching for this all there lives... Keen to see the progress.
-
Nice work henry! Let us know once you've hooked it up... I was going to offer another loom but sounds like you're set. Scott.

Its probably slowed down again now I have this to play with. There are plans for the ke10 though, the thread will just appear again when I finally get motivated. I quite often ask the same question in other peoples ride threads, didnt realise I would ever get the oppertunity to grab a neat original rolla. If you ever get an offer you gotta jump FAST.
-
Thanks for feedback guys. I'll get some interior shots up after NYE. The plates arent the original's they must have been replaced once already and they're a little faded and twisted so I'm definately gonna replace them. Only thing is, should I try to an R or S series?? RLA-020, RLN-020 etc.

Thats my parent's property... awesome place to grow up. Ill get my SLR out one day and see if I can get pics like RA28GT's got in his ride thread.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with it overall. Looks sweet and drives like nothing else. I just picked up my spare mazda 13" rims I use to run on my ke11. They have 185/60's I think... I was going to run them for a bit but I was going to get the 12's back on with new tyres just to keep it factory spec. Shame I didnt get a pressure cleaner for xmas... Ill have to do it the hard way  Scott.

Hey all. I like to consider myself a ke10 through ke18 type of guy (hence the username), but I am a Corolla Freak like the rest of you so this could not be missed Picked up this beauty just last week. Purchased 9th or October 1974 by (now 85 year old) Davinne from Cambridge Motors, Hawthorn. She was the Only owner... Until now. This is the closest thing I'll even own to 'overrated'. Came with Original owners manual and Vehical Warranty books. Even has the original Toolkit in the boot which has never been used. The back seat has been sat in 6 times! Everything is original except for the steering wheel cover I removed before leaving her driveway. Had not even been washed when I took these pics... My plans are: - New tyres, cause they're cracking... My guess is they're 20years old. - Whitewalls - New number plates, cause they're shitty and faded. - Major "Gavclassic" style detailing inside and out - Keep it looking as it is. Keen to run it in the Bay to Birdwood next year... Interior pics to come Cheers! Scott.

I remember trying to fit a ke10 grill to my ke30 but would never consider doing the opposite. Ke10 grills arent that hard to come across. there was a ke10-b, ke11 grill on ebay for $35 last week... might stilll be there.

Car: 1974 Ke20 L Motor & Driveline: Factory Spec 3K and K40 Suspension & Brakes: Factory Wheels & Tyres: Factory 12's Interior: Brown, VERY tidy Other: Genuine one owner, have purchase documents from 9th Oct. 1974. Keeping it as it is... I'll just detail it up sweet. Will do rides thread soon... Cheers

This is an awesome car regardless of the motor and roof, good to see it back on rollalcub I think its good you've made it your own. Scott.

Bugger. If you've got drums on the front still, you need to definately upgrade. Its easy to do you just need to chase down the parts. checkout FAQ here: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ont_Disc_Brakes Sounds pretty hairy... I've never driven a ke10 without disc because I do the upgrade to disc before I put them on the road. Scott.

Here's a thread worth watching... I agree with Tom, get into it. Just make sure you finish what you start and get out there with a cruiser like no other. I'm sure to have some spare ke10 struts if you're in no hurry for them. I think they might have smaller holes for the bolts to the steering knuckle arm than ke11 though.... Keep progress pics coming Scott.
