where are you and what shape is your ke55. i got a ke30 sedan 4 door roof lining in very good condition you
can buy. pm me if interested.
otherwise, you'll probably have to use a reasonable one to get a new one made...
scott.
Tie Rods and Springs can't, know that much... strange thing to do put things from an older model onto a newer one.
might not even be legal??
Front seats could be made to fit, unsure if rails are the same.
32/36 webers came stock on 2ltr pinto escorts. Check the wreckers and ford forums of you don't want to
use ebay.
Best option is like waht Mick suggested, I picked up my first 32/36 from a carby place. $130 recon'ed, jetted
and fitted with custom linkages and a ramflo :drgrim: can't beat that and ran sweet for 2 years.
scott
I may be wrong but does the late model ke55's have a weird front apron compared to the ke35's?
i know the ke55 sedan i wrecked was different to my ke30 sedan...
obviously the taillights are different too.
scott.
As i was talking with tom recently
I had genie extractors in my ke11 they were just cut after the collecter as Doug was saying and rest
of exhaust made to suit. they were 4 into 1.
My mate bought me an electric dizzy from a swap meet a few months ago thinking it
was to suit a K motor, but it isnt.
Its a Nippondenso internal ignitor type.
has the part number of 100291-0190 on it.
has a small inprint on it of 2017 too
just trying to work out what its for and can't find anything on the net...
anyone know where to look or have the info on hand??
cheers,
Scott.
I believe Stewart Ford did adjustable tops on his sprinter??
you may have to get searching through the yahoo groups oldcorollas files.
here is link: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/oldcorollas/
failing that maybe contact stew himself, he's on toymods a bit.
he'll come under the name 'oldcorollas'
Scott.
Hi there,
I believe I used ke55 backing plates with my ke70 caliper conversion on my old ke11. You'll find some
of them have offset bolt spacing and some of them are square. you obviously need the square.
you WILL have to redrill the holes on caliper mount out and re-tap them to suit the larger bolts.
have fun!
Scott.
keep it, lower it.
I have kings springs and professionally reset leaf springs you can buy
in adelaide.
a lot of other parts too if you need to fix up other stuff.
pm me if interested.
scott.
I want him to take them all out one by one and clean them all and keep us
all up to date. he there would be people traking him down from all over
the world right now...
But yeah, i agree. you gotta think, are they all stolen?
Nice tommy! liking it very much.
I was just about to pm you cause I was itching to see a pic or two.
be keen to see the interior etc too.
Sounds good. I have very simular plans myself.
Scott.
PS> where are the whitewalls!!??
argh, why can't there be a bloke like that in SA.
sounds like my kind of workshop... is he getting out of
the old rolla game completely??
any more info on this publica wagon!!??? whats he asking for it??
if he drilled and tapped the brakes that just means he's put
on discs from a later model. they require larger bolts to hold
the disc itself to the hub. I did this with ke70 discs on my ke11.
who's his pete fella? does he do lots of ke's??
strange colour but nicely applied...
why do so many people removed the side chrome trim?? its just not right.
Scott.
wow, look at that trim! I'm guessing you like blue and white?
looks like its come a long way.
What part of town this kicking around in? on the road?
keep it up...
I gave king springs and reset rear leafs you can buy if you wanna
do it all legit and legal.
In SA though so may cost a few $ in post...
pm me if interetsed.
James,
chuck up a post in the 'rides & projects' section if you can. So you
can keep us updated on it....
I can put up the 'before' pics for you.
Scott.
Hey james, i was wonding if you'd find this...
I'd say you'd need to do some cutting and welding. I recon most people
do the sheet metal jobs in the trans tunnel. can you get a s13 tunnel can you?
dudemannn- keen to know more about this ca18det ke15 if you know anything
more...
I had a kmph speedo in my ke11, was definately an addition but looked factory.
I was going to keep it when I sold it, but I think the mph is better, I want the
complete oldschool experience
Scott.
You wont need a biasing vlave with ke20 discs on the ke1x. They work well
with just the stock MS. I believe most of use are just using stock rear end
too, the street ke's anyways.
I always was meant to do the galant MS on mine but never happened. Good
conversion as you'd be upgrading to dual circuit too.
Ke30 and ke55 dics have slight diferences from memory... ke55 thicker??
I know the ke70 is thicker than ke30. can someone confirm?
Scott.
I agree. Personally I don't think its worth putting any non k motor in a ke1x
and I went through the whole "A series" phase a few times.
Its a daily. Go with a 4k, do some work on it, save some cash.
what state are you in? you have the car already?
Scott.
