  1. I'm selling a ke11 shell and my ca18 to a mate as a project and to make transport easier i thought id chuck the ca in the bay and tie it down. I was very surprised to see it fitted very very well, if the rubbers were'nt so big on the ca mounts it would have even fit into the stock crossmember mounts! At a glance it wasnt not perfect but its definately a do able conversion. The bonnet even fitted back on. just thought id share. Scott.
  2. Got some more pics of where I'm up to now. this is the current ride height ;) I've also taken the front 1/4 panels off to work on at my place here is the result of my rust removal on the vent areas and around the fuel cap etc. pretty happy with it... especially the drivers side. and this is the passenger side cheers, Scott.
  3. You running a ke55 borgy in the ke10 mate?
  4. Hey man, Definately need pics up ASAP! Id say if the seats are a different colour then the previous owner flogged some out of another ke. once we see pics we'll be able to say for sure. Scott
  5. The vents are definately there to attempt to defog the rear window. I had a good look in there when I had the hole cut out... As doug sais, there's none on the early models (as thats where i got the metal from) and i think it looks better without them, cleaner. My ke11 rear window was always fogged up anyway, even with the vents.
  6. off you go then, you'll never forgive yourself if it gets scrapped.
  7. I've stopped selling ke1x parts as i never know when ill need them... Yeah, rust is a biatch. Did you?? No way!! i don't think i could have had it that long... have I?? damn... I don't think my other half would be too happy about m moving back home :jamie: I just need to move somewhere with a big shed i can chuck my projects in. The only thing wrong with a ke25 is it isnt a ke10. But a very nice ride none the less... cheers Scott.
  8. Since these pics I've lowered it ALOT all round, done a ke20 disc brake conversion and purchased myself a 5k or two... So, I need you all to motivate me to get back into it!!
  9. Thought it was about time I put up a project thread. Since selling my ke11 I've felt the need to get some work done on my ke10 project. But seeing as I live 70kms from it and never get time to do anything on it i figured Id show you all where I'm up too... I Found this on the side of the road on the way home one night, it was getting ready to be loaded and taken to the crusher. So when the truck came to pick it up, i got it directed to my house instead. For a small fee. heres the specs: 1969 ke10-b white 4k with original 4 speed 95% complete. Rusty, but most contained to permanent panels. Unmodified And here's how it looked the day i got it: Rusty? these are the worst areas So, i started to strip it. Always good fun. Cut out the rusty spots, making sure I got it all Thanks to my 1967 ke10 donor car I had a panel just the right shape Welded it in Good thing I had a fire extinguiser handy, this is the roof lining on the other side of the C pillar I was welding... Scott.
  10. get the sump modfied for sure, I wouldnt be cutting anyhting out of a cross member...
  11. There is a ke26 locally but not much else. don't know if the owner is a member... I found a sweet looking ke30 2door sedan today. Went to the newsagaency to buy a pen and wrote a note to put on the window but when i got back it had gone :jamie:
  12. Looking a lot better already! shame there isnt an easy fix for that bonnet... Scott.
  13. haha, a ke10 with electric windows... :) I had central locking in my ke30, good fun.
  14. Stu, let us know how you go with that pedders kit. Scott.
  15. I may have missed something, but why do you need vented discs?? yep, I had commodore rear pads in my ke70 calipers on my ke11.
  16. I'm not a fan of those coronas or commo/lexcen's but i don't mind them put together. damn good sleeper. be great fun... scott.
  17. here you go. this is just the initial dummy fit. I think he's actually got it on the road now... is it a 2.6?? cheers, Scott.
  18. hes not on the net. I have a pic or two somehwere if you wanna see how it fits in the ke25 bay. pm me you email address and ill send them over Scott.
  19. Very tidy looking '70. good buy. If you're gonna keep the stockies and paint them black. polish up the chrome rings and the wheel nuts and keep them on there, would look good. I always thought some sigma turbo rims with red details (i beleive they call them peter werrett's or somthing) would look awesome on a nice tidy white ke70 like yours... Scott.
  20. well done, I'm the same as you, can't turn down a rolla on death row. we have to save as many old rollas as we can from the crusher... Did you get it cheap?? it needs work but it can definately be done. my old ke11 in the avatar was bought as a close to write off before i got it. Get stuck into it and keep us updated. Scott.
  21. nice cameron, keep the thread rollin... it is indeed a strange colour arrangement, but a sprinter none the less. looks like it has the later model front apron, must be a 69 model? any rust areas? does it have all the original badges still? gotta love sprinters...
  22. I know a bloke doing a 2.6 Astron turbo in a ke25, almost finished too.
  23. bit of subtle backwards advertising for rollaclub too...
  24. what was that in front of you? you got to do a run without him slowing you down man....
  25. Gav, do you buy and sell cars for a living?? if not, you could. Where the hell do you find them?? Do you wander the streets and leave notes under windows or something?? do you have anything that isnt overrated? sorry bout all the questions.... Very impressive. Scott.
