  1. subscribing to thread, keen to see what this is all about...
  2. any pics of damage?
  3. I agree with you dad.. for the most part. Go with a K motor, pull it apart, try different ideas, have fun. It will be a lot cheaper and as you'll find from people on this forum alone you can get moving with a K motor. Get into it and keep the post updated  Scott
  4. That wagon is very tidy, awesome find.
  5. subscribing to thread
  6. also very keen for pics when you get some... don't do a bonnet scoop!! You'll get twins on without needing to modify the bonnet. A few boys on here have managed.
  7. I agree with that, it would be different if it was a Commonadore with no bumpers. If it came to it you could spin some shit about it this model is an import and has intergrated bumpers or something but I doubt they'd even notice.
  8. wow, it seems like every time I check this section of the rides threads Troy has a new VW... what you got in store for us this time???
  9. Nice work Will, bet you can't wait to get back to yours. good to see you on Rollaclub already man get more pics up when you get it... Scott.
  10. don't go whitewalls. Get period style racing rims... Maybe try a thin redwall to tie in with your seat piping :D Awesome looking car, take care of that beauty.
  11. hey man, chuck a ride thread up in the non-toyota section. there are some Dub lovers on here that would be keen to see that build up... I am
  12. my mum could break into her old ke35 in less than 1 min with a coat hanger... she got real good at it too...
  13. WOW! This would have to be the most motivational build thread I've EVER read. You have come a long way and learnt a huge amount. It looks like you've had to learn a lot the hard way too but you are far better off for it. I hope the operation went well and you're back into it soon. Ill be keeping an eye on this thread from now on, the last time I looked at it was 2008! Keep it up Scott.
  14. I have an 02 magna as a daily. Had it for 3 years NEVER had an issue. I drive 800kms a week just to and from work. Its the 3.5 with sports shift (i never use auto, it shits me). I bought the car at 146,000 kms for $6k. Almost at 300,000 now  Its got enough power, fuel efficiency is good for what it is (country driving), is comfortable, has airbags, ABS. Bad points. every 100k you need to do the plugs and belt which cost me $850 to get done The turning circle sucks balls, you'll be doing 3 point turns everywhere. Occasionally you get petty fumes coming into the car, seems to be a Mitsi thing Everyone gives you shit for owning it :D (all my mates drive Rolla's or Suburu's) Factory radios seems to shit themselves I've lowered it all round as I wanted it handle better on the long drive and I chucked in a decent sound system and thats it. Keep it serviced and they seem to keep going. Overall suits me perfectly. I'll never regret making the decision to buy it. I'd even consider it for the next car but Id buy if from the Eastern states next time as they seem to be even cheaper over there... Scott.
  15. I'm confident you'll pull this off Gav.... I have not heard of using 323 struts before, what are the benefits of them? got any suspension pics?
  16. Ghetto Spec is right... Was definately never engineered, never went further than our front paddock and driveway with the 12a in it. don't worry, my brother has copped shit for that "engine mount" for years... Did you get through everything Mick? Get any cash for the shell? Scott.
  17. Yeah, I am interested Gav. Ill PM you. Looking for a backing for the steering wheel, passenger side sun visor and nice dash pad too if anyone is hoarding excess bits :jamie:
  18. factory 4 speed manual. Not for sale unless someone makes a ridiculous offer... Some interior shots, notice I took them after taking it for a big sunday drive. Cheers
  19. A mate of mine had one of these in High School. Think you can drop a 2.6? sigma motor into them pretty easy... looks in alright shape
  20. Got me some whitewalls...
  21. I had this kit on my ke11, definately worth doing if you want it to handle. You should look into getting custom springs made up like Henry has, they seem to be working well for him.
  22. Nice Luke, looks tidy. Ill should bring my unmolested ke20 around and we'll get some pics before the mods begin...
  23. Good to see this in the hands of another rolla freak. Just curious. what ke20 springs are you intending to use? standard or after market? Is the leaf spring still in? I think you'll find it wont get much lower, in fact it may raise the height... Scott.
  24. I'm having trouble keeping up with all these overrated corollas Gav! Once again, very nice find...
