Talk to the Cam makers or your engine builder, tell them what exactly is done to your motor, what your intended use is and a realistic red line and LISTEN to them. IMO - stick with a hydrolic grind. Sooooooooooooo much less stuffing around. I ran a Wade 169 grind (Lift (at lobe) - 0.269", Ex opens - 75deg closes 36deg, Inlet opens - 41deg closes 70deg) in my 5k powered club car and it would pull very decent revs.

My first 5k (std cam, 3kb's and hig comp) felt stronger in the top end running an electric pump.

Did you take the time to walk to the top of the cathedral? The views are amazing and the number of stairs sorta removed the guilt from the lemon gelato/vodka dessert that night. Like eating a Lemon Ruski :) Will have to look up the times we did the the kart track, although we only got to play on the indoor track. But, I wasnt complaining when it was free. Will see if I can dig up a couple of pics of what you missed inside TTE. Have a few until we were told to get rid of the camera ;)

Not that it helps you much, but my 5k ran very nicely running a slightly modded 3KB (factory twins) set up.

mmmmmmm. My old 5k used to rev better than that with stock springs and hydrolic lifters. Another reason not to stuff around with the standard set up....... Just a silly question, your tacho is accurate?

Spending a week mounting one bloody towel rail in the bathroom........ The job was cursed from the start. This was after the mounting a shower rail thingy in the wrong spot. Even though it was all marked out, it wasn't till I drilled two holes through the tiles that the missus decided it was wrong :rant:

There was also an outdoors shop some where in Colonge that had a huge pool on the bottom floor. Just in case you need to try out your kayak before you buy it or you want to scuba dive inside a building.................................

Colonge (Koln)- worth a look, the beer is goooooood, the church/chapel thingy is incredible and the train from Frankfurt rocks along at 300km/h or so. Also Toyota Team Europe http://www.toyota-motorsport.com/en/ is based there, so you could pose for a couple of pics or see if you can look inside to check out some of the old race cars. I managed a tour of the facilities back in the F1 days, but that was a one off I think :P Another option is the Micheal Schumaker Go Kart Centre http://www.ms-kartcenter.de/com/index2.php. Worth a blast. Still have the Micheal Schumaker Champers sitting on the shelf that I won, and it was a bastard getting the trophy back home......... :D
