  1. That was the designer of the car driving it. For some reason it wasnt that fast or successful when it was racing..........................
  2. Found a big improvement from running slight negative camber from relocated pivot points (and roll centre). Toe out can help with turn in as well but will make the car twitchier to drive. Modding the diff was the next step on mine - both camber and toe in.
  3. Camber - nuthing new there. This is from the 60's
  4. yep that sux bollocks.
  5. Cheers for the offer, but sorta let my license slip a loooong time ago.
  6. grrrrrrrrrrrr - I want to come and play :(
  7. If it don't go bang then it aint stupid ;)
  8. Reports say that one of the dams on site of the training facility had 3300 times the safe concentration in it...................................
  9. I'm pissed off that I let mine go...............
  10. WGMG - to the CFA and their use of cancer causing sustances cause it was cheap and finding out the old man used to have to clean the shit out of the pumps etc that were used as it used to gum everything up............. Only 1 in 3 have developed cancer from it :hmm: and potentially 70000 plus are affected
  11. That would work too :rocknroll:
  12. Grab a Slim Dusty album and have stereo wars. You know you want to
  13. Interesting. The link below - http://rollaclub.com/board/topic/12720-mytoy-ke20/ has pics of my suspension mods.
  14. Let me guess, you have stiffened the rear up, either with a rear bar or springs? With the standard rear springs and a rear bar, my 20 would power oversteer in third during autocrosses. Disconnecting the bar helped. Ended up with softer rear springs that only had the two biggest leaves left. This helped it out heaps. Suited my style anyway.
  15. I'm hoping that all of us can place upcoming events in one location to make it easier for those interested to attend. Guess we need to know what the event is, when it is, whose running it and a link if available. If there is anything I have missed, just add it in. I'll start it off with a few events that I know of that are coming up in the next month or so. 22 July - Double Banger Autocross, Ballarat Light Car Club, Ballarat Airport http://blcc.net.au/events.html 12 August - Motorkhana, Ballarat Light Car Club, Balarat Airport 24 - 26 August - Winter Classic Rally, Ballarat Light Car Club, Central Victoria http://winterclassic...t.au/index.html By the way, I am not a member of the BLCC (anymore) and if I here of anything else out there, I'll pop it on here.
  16. ummmm - ugly :P
  17. Thats cool. Just wondering if we should organise a thread dedicated to up coming events so interested people could attend.
  18. And then throw the still burning but onto the driveway.............................
  19. From memory, yes - but its been a looooooong time........................... May be issues with the size of the eyes though.
  20. I was thinking along the same lines - but its been 10 years since I was involved with logistics. If its a popular destination, you may find a company looking for a back load. Should be cheap.
  21. Doing tax - enough said
  22. Could of let us know it was on :notimp:
  23. Be careful if you are trailering the car. Used to always rip my side pipe off loading it on the trailer.........
  24. How is that safer??? Don't you think there may be a reason that they are going slower. With your logic, it would be reasonable to pass me if I had slowed down due to road or weather conditions. If we are talking an 80 zone then I'm assuming that it is either a built up area or road works. In a built up area there are just too many potential risks to go past someone for a pissy 5km/h . It can be frustrating yes, but if a couple of minutes on your driving time is so critical then leave earlier. If you are far enough back from them, you will be able to react to what ever happens in front of you. Remember, that you are taught to be a minimum of 3 seconds behind the car in front so you can react. The key word here is potentially. I does not matter if a fatal or life threatening injury occurs, the potential is there. An example of this is the main street in town. Postred limit is 40km/h and there are a number of pedestian crossings. Drivers still go through at 60km/h plus. A two tonne 4wd hitting a kid at 60 km/h is gonna make a mess. It hasn't happened (yet) but the potential is there. People have been hit. I have also witnessed people pasing others on this stretch!!!! Shit I nearly got hit one night by a Merc driver doing at least 80 km/h. Out of habit, I looked right, saw him and stepped back. Potentially I wouldn't be here to write this if I just stepped out on the marked pedestrian crossing, or if my timing was a second or so out.
