  1. The wire fallen off the fuel soleniod thingy on the carby?
  2. Thought I that my old 5k running 3k-b carbies felt stronger in the top end when it was fitted with the electric pump. So I would guess that the standard pumps limit is low.
  3. Used to the sleepless nights. This one will be number 5.
  4. Waiting for my missus to pop. Only 2 weeks to go (maybe) and I can't wait for it to be over.................
  5. the 3k-b set up is factory twins :) see http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/12720-mytoy-ke20/ for pics of my engine. Others will have to tell you about the turbo option.
  6. Ran a 5k with a Wade regrind (hydrolic), exhaust and 3k-b carbies on my club car. Made a big difference over the 3k :) Like 5 seconds quicker over the local autocross track. Years ago, ran a 5k in a ke35. This one also ran the 3k-b carbies but with the standard cam. It also ran the highest compression that I could run on pump fuel at the time. the standard 5k was a decent step up over the 5k, but after being worked it was sooo much better. Went from holding 100km/h up a local hill in 4th to being able to accelerate up it in 5th.
  7. Jellybeans FTW ;) don't know where you are located, but check out a second hand wheel store like Wheels (located in Balarat Vic). Picked up mine on sale fully reconditioned for a good price.
  8. mmmmmmmm racing stipes!
  9. Went out today with my 3 sons. Lost two soft plastics and snapped a rod in half :( The kids never lost anything. Never had a bite either....
  10. I'd be in that. The young fella drags me away fishing anyway.......
  11. It aint that hard to knock up an adaptor either. Had to do that when I was using different cars to tow my car trailer.
  12. And block all that TE27 goodness. This alone should be enough pawn for anyone!
  13. I rest my case Rob :P
  14. Another WGMG. Fishing with my 6 yr old for an hour or so. He decides to cast a lure out of a boat ramp. Stuffs the cast and it doesnt make the end of the boat ramp. Lands in about a foot or so of water. The little bugger bagged the only fish of the day from that cast!!!!!! Not happy Jan :'( And he never shared it with me, he ate the lot!
  15. Yeah, the original 235/??/17 Bridgestones were twice the price of what I put on it. Glad I didnt spend big on rubber as it was never repaired properly after the missus tried offroading at 100km/h |blink| Killed the LH rear in less than 12 months!!!!! Insurance company didnt want to know >|
  16. No, but it shut them up real quick :) It would of been closer to $500 to replace the original rears. And no, I didnt spend that when the time come - closer to $280 for the pair in the end. Actually, as it would single spin, I should of asked for half the cash ;)
  17. When I was asked to pull a skid in my Commodore wagon, I always asked them for $600 to replace the tyres first. Not one person was actually willing to pay....... Strange that :hmm: When??????????????
  18. That really SUCKS when your internet gets slowed down if you exceed your down load limit........
  19. Being a 5k, its probably got hydrolic lifters, so no adjusting, but they need oil pressure(?) to operate properly.
  20. 5k. Cheap and easy. With the advantage that it looks identical to the 3k that is already in there. Add a cam and a decent exhaust and it makes a fun combination.
  21. Old man cut and shut a couple of standard arms to make them longer. Can go as long as you want but need to be braced. This was for a track only car, wouldnt do it on a road car.
  22. Must of had the only German Taxi drive that was mad..... Belting along the road, in and out of triffic until he spotted the cops in front of us. At this point, he turned to me in the front seat and said "If it wasnt for the police, we would be gone" while making gestures with his hands. Fun taxi ride that one
  23. 'cause there academics and they need to justify their positions. Education system is full of them :bash:
  24. Ditto. But never had to worry about the charcoal canister being a '75 model. Tossed a lot of pollution gear that came with the 5k. To get through a roady, I ended up super glueing bits of hose to different parts of the motor :rolls:
  25. Thats exactly what they did to the 120Y about 16 years ago  It was in Car Australia for those of a more senior age.
